Review titled Great care and support

A very positive experience with the surgery. Went for a test which I was dreading and the nurse was superb. She was professional and efficient but most of all kind and caring. She explained everything that would happen and gave me the time I needed to cope with the procedure. She did so with compassion and humour and I am so grateful for her skilled nursing. Thankyou

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience. One afternoon a month all practices in the area close for protected learning time. This happened to be on the 13th December when you were trying to contact the surgery. We do ensure our phonelines state this and the practice website is up to date with the PLT dates. If you would like us to investigate your concerns further, please email or call the practice and we will do our best to try and help.

Review titled Lied to & not listened to.
Rated 1 star out of 5

I rang to make an appointment to see a GP to have some of my medication changed due to side effects. The person on the phone took ages to find an appointment for me and changed it a number of times while I was on the phone. I asked her to confirm that the person I was going to see would be able/authorised to change my meds and she said “yes”. I even asked her a second time and she confirmed it again. I went to the appointment and found I had been simply booked in for a blood test. Nothing more. I was misled by the surgery and it took a further 3 appointments (totalling 4 absences from work) to finally see a GP who said she would “ask another GP” if I could have my meds changed. She then didn’t update me with the outcome and I had to sit in a phone queue for over 45 min before the receptionist informed me my meds had been authorised. Nothing about this surgery fills me with the slightest bit of confidence. The impression they give is that no one knows what they are doing. Patient communication is appalling or non existent in my case.
