Tried several times last week to get though. Waited up to an hour on some calls. Even tried ring back but they don't give you enough time to pick up the phone. Been tiring again this morning, from 8.30am its now 11.04 as things worse 18 calls so far. Keeps saying they are too busy and to ring back. Be dead by this rate.

I had an appointment 2 weeks ago with the nurse. The outcome of this was to get a prescription sent to the chemist for delivery. As unable to get through to reception by phone I telephoned the chemist to see why the delay. They went to the surgery and then informed me that the prescription had been written but had been misplaced within the surgery. A duplicate prescription will be issued and I should be in possession of the required treatment soon. This type of thing should not happen in this type of establishment. I

  3. Review titled Absolutely shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve recently had cause to try and make contact with the surgery on several occasions. It’s impossible to contact them by phone as nobody answers it, the minimum I’ve been on hold before giving up is 14 minutes, what a waste of time. In the end I’ve had to drive into town in order to address the issues only to be fobbed off by them blaming the phone system.

  5. Review titled Disgusting service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 July 2023

I have waited for 45 mins from 8.20am as caller number one on the caller wait list. I was eventually answered and told that you cannot book a routine appointment until a friday at 2pm. To have waited 45 mins and be told this is disgusting and ridiculous and bad customer service. Surely it would benefit all to be told whilst on hold that you cannot use this service?! I stead of repeating the same message over and over please put something usefull on there!

  6. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs. Carol Lindop - Posted on 29 April 2023

I have recently had a problem with my hip. and, as with every medical problem I and my family have had in the 50+ years we have been with this surgery, I have had excellent care. Not only have the staff been caring, but they have taken the time to explain my problem and discuss the options with me. I have been seen quickly and treated with respect and good temper by all the staff, including the receptionists. Full marks for Rosedean Surgery.

  7. Review titled Great Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have to have regular blood tests and always find the nurses very prompt and very caring and friendly. In fact I have never had a bad experience at this surgery since changing from the other surgery in Liskeard. The staff always have time for you and are genuinely caring.

  8. Review titled Real Time help at Reception

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Nigel Outram - Posted on 16 March 2023

Had to upgrade iPad to be able to remain online with surgery. Difficulties arose with Patient Access. Still feel intimidated by some of the computer world and needed some help with resetting our system. Good help at Reception and later follow-up online. It means a lot to be able to be seen in person, rather than just a NHS number on a screen. Hoping Patient Access lives up to its name and I don’t need a patient reset with the stress of it all. Many thanks.

  9. Review titled Apalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

Appalling service from the nurses. I waited nearly an hour in the waiting room. To then be told by reception that nurses had marked me as having been seen. Lies. On another occasion the required procedure was not done correctly resulting in having to go back again. I am disabled & made to feel like I am an inconvenience by them. Awful

  10. Review titled Face-to-Face

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Nigel Outram - Posted on 18 November 2022

Positive : good discussion and examination, with excellent ‘bedside manner’. Course of treatment, inc prescription. This was a good experience and could not have been dealt with by a tel call. Negative : psoriasis of the ears is distressing and made worse by build-up of wax. It is hard to believe that our nurses are not now dealing with this. Instead I am having to travel and pay for ear wax suction. Ears are a serious matter, the above problems can lead to deafness. Our surgeries should provide an ear wax suction service, as in hospitals.

Dear Mr Outram Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased that your consultation was a positive experience. I understand your concerns regarding ear syringing, but currently ear wax removal is not part of contracted General Medical Services provided by GPs. NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board are currently conducting a wider review of commissioned services as it has been concluded that current provision for ear wax removal is inadequate and should be considered a priority https://cios.icb.nhs.uk/ Ear wax is an increasing problem for many patients but due to the demands on General Practice, we must prioritise those services that we are contracted to provide. We do have posters in the Practice and will provide information on how to keep ears healthy. We do also have access to hospital-based ear suction clinics for patients who have particularly troublesome ear problems requiring intervention. Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) have raised the issue of ear syringing and we are awaiting the outcome of the review as previously mentioned. Thank you for your feedback which is much appreciated. Yours sincerely Elizabeth Delbridge Practice Manager
