    I rang to check my contact details went through usual ID questions. Told call handler I wanted to check my details correct as I was not receiving communications re boosters or flu vaccine. Call Handler immediately launched into flu vaccine letters were going out in 500 batches which is not what I was enquiring about and told her so. But no she went on and on. I had to be quite forceful and reminded her all I wanted was to make sure my mobile and email were correct. Eventually she concede to do this and then decided that letters were to be mobile text. Her attitude was very brusque and not the usual friendly call handling I am accustomed to after being a patient over 30 years

    Dear Patient I am so sorry that you have experienced this with the Riverside Practice, March. I would very much like to investigate this further as we sent out our flu vaccination invites for this years flu campaign on the 31.07.2023, with the majority of the invites being sent by SMS text message & email, leaving only 300 to be sent out by letter. Unfortunately due to the feedback being anonymised I am unable to investigate further at this time. If you would be kind enough to contact the practice on 01354 661922 and ask to speak to the Practice Manager, I would very much like to look into this further for you.     Due to Ongoing health issues over the past few months ,I have seen a number of the clinicians at riverside. New reception staff are fantastic ,patient, kind and helpful. New phone system easy to navigate. Nurses work hard and are understanding and compassionate and always smiling. Ancp lady thorough,professional and knowledgeable. Paramedics a great addition to the practice,sharing their experience and diagnosing and treating accordingly. I feel this surgery is improving quickly post lockdown and have been a patient for over 35 years.

    Dear Patient Thank you for such a wonderful review. I am so pleased to received such positive feedback on the new telephone system, this is proving to be a great asset and continues to support our patients in making it easier to get through to the practice. Our staff both clinical and administrative strive to provide the best care possible to our patients and again it is great to hear such positive feedback, I will certainly pass this on to all staff at our next Clinical Governance Meeting.     From first contact to leaving I couldn’t be happier. Managed to get an appointment to see a female practitioner and she was so through, kind and informative. She sent me for tests as needed to investigate, receptionist could tell I was nervous for blood test but she reassured me that the lady who did bloods was excellent (and I now since agree, no bruise!) Thank you Riverside, I’ve seen a few different people recently and care is fist class. There is a lovely atmosphere of care and consideration on arrival.

    I made an appointment to see my GP who i have not seen in years, on the day the receptionist phoned me to see if i would accept an earlier appointment with the paramedic instead of seeing my GP i declined as wanted to see my GP the receptionist said that was ok i could still see my Gp . When i arrived at the surgery i got called for my appointment and it was the paramedic i had to see !!!!!!! who was patronising and i ended up in tears ! He was not really listening to me at all plus their was another man in the room which made me feel terribly uncomfortable and i was not asked if i minded him being in there or introduced. My problems were not resolved and the paramedic wrote me out a script for extra strong painkillers x 2 This would not help my problems at all so i chose not to waste my money and never collected them !! I will have to go private now as i feel very let down by NHS Riverside practice.
