  1. Review titled Going the extra distance for patients.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lynne - Posted on 03 April 2024

Requested a prescription without wishing to waste the time of a doctor, as consultant had informally advised on a condition whilst assessing another issue. Lady on pharmacy team got back to me promptly, with recommendations. I'd heard of a stronger option but was told it wasn't readily available. Pharmacy lady went out of her way to source it and find a pharmacy able to supply, very promptly indeed. This is not the first time staff have gone the extra distance to obtain the best outcome. A very helpful receptionist fitted me at short notice last year with an excellent doctor, who kindly listened to my brief, Googled amateur self-diagnosis, examined my eye, graciously confirmed the diagnosis (also giving a helpful early heads up on the other eye) and issued the necessary referral for treatment, which I was surprised and lucky to also receive quite quickly. In both cases (and others in the past) it's felt like a collaborative partnership; prompt attention, listened to, position considered, questions answered then given comprehensive, yet personally directed, advice to achieve the best outcome. All in the space of a few minutes. The level of professional expertise I've experienced here matches my experiences at the previous practice, before the merger, and I'd say inspires similar levels of confidence, despite the growing challenges for today's NHS service providers. Thank you, all.

  2. Review titled Excellent team work

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jan - Posted on 08 April 2024

I went to the surgery back in February, very ill , asked if there was an appointment with the ladies in reception, they could see how I was and said to wait whilst they sort something, saw one lady first and then the doctor that afternoon, on reception they know immediately my problem and acted so quickly but calmly …… I have now seen the doctor a couple of times , also seen one of the reception ladies only this week . So professional in how they were with me and I am truly grateful for them , and I personally can recommend Redlands whole team , careing and friendly ….. Thank you Redlands

  3. Review titled 5 weeks for an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2024

Since the 2 practices have moved together it is almost impossible to get an appointment. I have to wait 5 weeks to see a Dr, I am in pain and my condition is impacting my daily life. Spoke to reception and told they have no appointments. This is ridiculous

  4. Review titled A* receptionists

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I used the call back service to book an appointment , which worked fantastically well. The lady who contacted me was very patient, reassuring and made me feel at ease when I was in a highly anxious state. She made me feel heard , which I greatly appreciated and helped to get me booked in with the best clinician for my issues. I appreciated her professional, friendly manner more than can be put into words.

  6. Review titled Kind Caring Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vivien - Posted on 25 September 2023

I have received excellent care from the team at Redlands, especially recently when I started to become seriously unwell. Helpful receptionists who are doing their best despite demand being high, and knowledgeable, caring doctors, nurses and paramedics. I am very grateful to this practice for everything they do, thank you.

  7. Review titled Disinterested GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

Seen by GP ( not my own GP) for a last minute appointment for a prostate examination as requested by my GP.Apology given for the 45 minute wait!!.GP not sure of why I was there,so I gave a short summary of the reason. Are there not medical notes to read?Doctor appeared tired and stressed and not really interested in listening to what I had to say.Examination performed with nil issues.Tried to discuss treatment options, but was told that would have to wait for my own GP to make a decision.I just got the feeling that I was being a nuisance and the Doctor wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible.Face to face appointments with GP’s at Redlands are like gold dust and as a result you want to make the most of a face to face appointment.

  8. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Myself and my wife are both ill with virtually identical symptoms. I rang the surgery at 08:30 today and the phone was answered within 2 minutes. We were offered a joint appointment at 9:00 today. The paramedic that saw us at 09:10 was extremely caring, asking lots of questions and doing a few tests. We didn't feel rushed at all. Prescriptions were available at the Pharmacy shortly afterwards. We were extremely satisfied with the service that we received.

  9. Review titled Not providing any GP services for an entire week

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 August 2023

I called last week only to be met with an automatic message to say that they can only deal with emergencies last week and that patients shouldn't call for any other reason. Emergency care is not the same as GP care. If this GP surgery can't provide a basic level of care to it's patients it should not be operating at all. Ever since the GP partners stepped down this practice has been circling the drain.

  10. Review titled Poor service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 December 2022

Arrived for an emergency child appointment. After waiting for 35 minutes, I asked the receptionist how long it will be to be told...how long is a piece of string. Awful response. I myself am a nurse, and would be appalled if my staff spoke to anyone like that. Waited a total of 65 minutes
