  1. Review titled Questionable process

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 November 2023

Recently had blood work completed as part of an annual review and waited over 1 week for the results to become available. When speaking to the care navigator via the phone she advised that all the results were back and that she would be able to ascertain whether a further appointment was needed. Following some polite chit chat she advised there were no notes on the system but she would make a further appointment with a nurse in 3 weeks time as she thought I needed to discuss 2 particular results but she didn’t really know what they meant and couldn’t tell me the results over the phone. This is by no means a complaint about the receptionist / care navigator as working in the NHS myself I understand the day to day pressures however I do have to question the process that non clinical staff are reviewing patient results and making a decision on whether further discussion / investigations are required.

  2. Review titled Unusual experience

1668647 Your Review: I filled in the on line triage form at 8 am and waited, no response so phoned surgery at 1145, assured by care navigator that someone would call in the afternoon, waited, phoned surgery at 1630 as no contact, “A doctor will phone you before 1830”, received phone call at 1720, doctor too busy but you can see an ANP at 1800, reluctantly agreed.

  3. Review titled Can't get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 May 2023

Only way you can get an appointment is via an online triage form (which closes 10:30am). Have no Internet I can access during the times the form is available, still can't get an appointment. Get someone else to do it they say. So now I'm divulging data protected info and personal details to another person. Disgraceful system that is not inclusive or caring, with no thought about privacy for those without Internet access.

Dear patient, apologies for our late response to your review. Our patient triage is open from 7am until we are at capacity. When this happens we do close appointments until the following day. Our Care Navigators will help complete the on-line form for you if triage is still open. Please call the practice if you wish to discuss your concerns further. The Deputy Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Earlier this year I experienced worrying symptoms in my throat. Rang the doctors, doctor rang me within 10 minutes, face to face appointment an hour later. Was given urgent referral. All organised efficiently. Cannot fault how I was treated.

  5. Review titled Very difficult to contact

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 January 2023

I do understand the pressures you currently face. I needed a consult with a GP, can't access online services (yes I understand you are busy and have temporarily shut your online triage) so I consulted 111, who advise book a GP appointment. I then ring the surgery, listen to the speel, your extremely busy, get put in a queue I am 1st in said queue straight away.. then get another automated message "we are too busy to answer the phone we are dealing with poorly patients blah blah blah .. very sorry ... you then end the call. I try again later as recommended.... What on earth do I need to do to get a gp review, do I physically have to attend the practice because on your website it says don't do that. Please improve your access because right now I'm stressing and don't know who I am supposed to turn too so I'm writing this on here in case you might actually read it. I know it's busy and yes it's stressful and yes there is staff sickness ect ect but when you say only contact us if its a medical urgency then you fail to be contactable that's a bit rubbish really and people will likely become more poorly or even die.

  6. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Request for medication increase, requested by consultant, not acted on on for 8 days. Nothing was done. I ended up contacting the consultant's office and sorting the query out myself.!!! Admin staff not prepared to be proactive on behalf of the patient. Poor service.

  7. Review titled Not how it's supposed to be.

Left with the feeling of just being a nuisance, feel sorry for patients here, no wonder good staff are leaving NHS in droves! Reception seem not to care or have given up.

  8. Review titled poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Always a queue on the phone lines and having to wait over 30 mins to speak to receptionist and now being told after waiting that we have to fill an online form which is open 6am to 4pm for someone to come back to you the same day …….. unfortunately at 2pm (when I rang) they have closed the system so cant fill the form out and now have to wait again. This is a terrible surgery with poor communication and very unhelpful staff and you can never see anyone. I will be looking for a new surgery and just wish readesmoor would sort itself out and deal with patients appropriately.

  9. Review titled shocking!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 August 2022

I repeat what everyone has said about this practice. I had surgery 10 days ago and they can't find any information about it. I'm supposed to have had a blood test last week but they won't give me one. For some reason they have now lost my email address. The lack of communication is shocking. The new online service is shocking. it's not difficult reading emails. before surgery I never spoke to a doctor about my results, just alot of receptionists. (which isn't completely their fault). I still don't know who my doctor is. As soon as I get this blood test sorted out I will be leaving and finding another GP.
