Review titled Tracey Railside Surgery Gillingham
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Deborah Claire Canty - Posted on 10 April 2025
I have had lots of problems with my health over the years mainly because I suffer with cronic pain which is one of the problems I have to live with because of neurofibromatosis, a condition I was born with. Since August 2020 when I had double pneumonia and 3 embolisms on my lung. Since then my health has gone downhill and I've started to have falls, some so bad I've been hospitalised. Since 6th April 2024 - April 2025 I have spent best part of that year in hospital. Now my mèds are all messed up and I can't reorder because I haven't ordered in several months, even when I try to explain I was in hospital from 27th December to 28th February 2025. T I'm not allowed to use the ladies name but I hope from my name and the date of my call will let you know who I think should be thanked and i want yo personally thank her as she is the only person I have asked for help and she didn't say you will have to call in at 8am. I just wanted to say a big thank you to her. It doesn't cost anything to be nice. I am really struggling trying to keep positive, I don't see or speak to people from one day to the next. So speaking to her this afternoon, (10/04/25) someone who cares and wanted to help me, made a big difference to my day. Please pass on my thanks to her. Ì'm sad, lonely and housebound so when I spoke with this person this evening and she couldn't do enough to help me . She took her time to she was extremely helpful and professional

Review titled Zero appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by David Rose - Posted on 25 April 2025
Logged on a 7:59, says it opens at 8:00. Refreshed at 8:00, closed because no appointments. 5 days in a row same thing. My daughter has had a cough for 3 weeks and my wife needs a smear test and it's literally impossible to get an appointment. The practice is completely incapable of even remotely servicing routine appointments, let alone real issues. The NHS are constantly trying to get people to go for checkups but there is no way to book them. I can only assume the current plan is to wait for everyone to get fed up and go private.

Dear Donna, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you had when trying to make a request through Anima. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you don’t need an appointment for the same day. We are continuously reviewing our processes and have added an option for patients to be able to submit requests for non-urgent issues. This will vary depending on capacity but please do try to gain access again after the morning rush. You can also call us on 01634 687200 and a member of the team may be able to submit a request on your behalf depending on appointment availability. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns. Many thanks, Reach Healthcare Management Team

Review titled Helpful nurse
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had 2 phone conversations with the nurse following blood test results and she was helpful and understanding. She also sent me links for things that she felt may help me and from our chats has made me feel and act much more positive. I have also had conversations with the receptionists and can only say they are polite and cheery which I am sure cannot be easy

Review titled Terrible Practice
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 January 2025
Good luck being able to get through to the receptionist, let alone booking an appointment. And don’t get me started on this new ‘Anima’ service which is meant to relieve the phone lines. I was ready at 7:59am to make an econsult at 8am. As soon as it turned 8:00, they just closed the service and said ‘no appointments available for today’. I’ve been sat on the phone since 8:01 now, and I know I won’t get an appointment. This practice continues to constantly put the already strained Medway Hospital under more pressure, as I have absolutely no option now but to take myself to A&E just for some antibiotics for a chest infection. The practice should be ashamed, and I will be leaving them now, after being with them for over 20 years no less.

Review titled Terrible appointment system
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Andrew MacDonald - Posted on 28 January 2025
Since the merger that was touted as being helpful to patients this surgery has bottomed out. Rude and unhelpful reception and system. At least having queued or waited for hours previously, one could expect an appointment. Now you will not find out when one might expect to find out if and when an appointment might be, let alone the time and day of said appointment. It indicates a shocking contempt for patient care. Where are the decent values here? Gone!

The nurse was very lovely and she knew exactly what she was doing. She explained everything and I understood what was about to happen. I came out of the appointment room and was all smiles 😃.

Review titled Hopeless

I can not get any appointments!! If i am unwell, i will get sent to 111 by unhelpful receptionists and incompetent clinicians. Even if i get through, i will be seeing paramedics and nurses who have no clue what they are doing. I was bounced back and forth between a variety of paramedics and nurses none of them have a clue about complicated issues and they seem so helpless amd overworked. All I have heard is them saying that the appointment should not have been booked with them 'oh sorry you should not have been sent to us, triage doctor must have made a mistake'. I suppose that is what their GPs are good for , sending patients to staff who is not able to deal with your issues. And off I go , back in line, hoping to get another appointment. Anema is in absolute shambles. I don't know who is incharge of this triage but it does not work
