    I needed a blood test to confirm a diagnosis. In the past this has meant me being given a document and then going to a walk-in centre - I am 74, do not drive and the walk-in centres are not on direct bus routes = taxi fares of c£15 each way. This time the blood samples were taken at the surgery. An erratic heartbeat was also checked with an immediate on-site ECG.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you had a positive experience with your recent appointment. We like to offer our patients a variety of choices when it comes to appointments. From offering extended access appointments, to walk in centres. Many of our patients appreciate this as an option as they can work around work and other commitments. If this isn't a valid option for you, you are more than welcome to attend the surgery, please call to book an appointment and our receptionists will be more than happy to sort it for you.     My son is 20 and autistic. I just wanted to leave a review to say how helpful the GP at Queensway was when we visited to discuss some issues the other day. She had an in depth understanding of the issues he is facing and really helped us to know what steps to take moving forward. The GP made sure both his physical and mental health were discussed and arranged for further testing and gave excellent advice on how to take the next steps to support my son. I would 100% recommend Queensway Medical Centre.

    My husband was asked to contact the Surgery for a blood test, I did so on his behalf thinking I just needed to make an appointment with the Nurse for him. I was given a piece of paper and advised to take it to a Walk in Centre, asking where this was I was told Whitegate Drive or Fleetwood? I was also advised they needed his weight and blood pressure, I asked where I could take him for this and advised a Chemist or home, I do not own a pair of scales. Please advise why the Nurse at Queensway cannot do these tests because my husband is disabled and could not possibly go on his own to these Centres?
