  1. Review titled Great Result

Rated 2 stars out of 5

The system they have set up to make appointments is horrendously bad. So stressful and complicated everytime I try to be seen. I avoid going to the centre because I don't want to interact with the system they have in place, it's never easy, simple or straight forward Only go when absolutely nessacary because of how bad it is to try and smoothly do something as simple as make an appointment. Once I got to see someone, he was great! He listened to me, genuinely cared about what I was experiencing, and went out of his way to be very helpful to me. Managed to get a great result from my visit.

  2. Review titled Positive practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I can only add positives, for my experience with this practice. I always find the reception pleasant and helpful and the doctors are extremely supportive and approachable. They cannot and should not be blamed for long waiting times, I fully believe this practice does its best to serve the community.

  3. Review titled Abysmal organisation and staffing

My most recent experience with QMC has been atrocious. Told I needed a medication review via text when I tried to order my medication online as usual and this message indicated I would not be supplied any more medication without an appointment . 1- tried to call to arrange a medication review straight away - on hold for over 40m had to hang up as I was at work, tried again later at lunchtime, on hold for 27 minutes I then decided after work to drive there just before closing where I booked this medication review. 2 - the 1st medication review appointment available was 6 weeks away. 3 - the receptionist told me I would need a blood test and to book this online and I would not need a blood form. I booked this the same evening and the first available appointment was about 2.5 weeks later. It is normal for me to need a blood test before a medication review so this did not seem abnormal. 4 - I attended the booked blood test today having booked part of my day off work, only to be told the GP practice hadn’t actually sent a blood form and I needed to contact them 5 - tried to call QMC whilst at the blood test clinic and despite being ‘1st in the queue’ according to the recorded message, this still took quite a while on hold. When I did get through I am told I have to have the medication review appointment first despite being told otherwise in person when I booked the appointment. They then told me I needed to book a medication review - I told them I already had one booked, they spoke over me and said they needed to rearrange that and I could come in a week and a half later than the medication review I already have booked. I repeated that I already have an appointment booked and have a time and date and I was again told I needed to rearrange this … I then spoke more loudly as I couldn’t think of a clearer way to tell them I already had the medication review appointment and didn’t understand why I had to cancel that appointment for another later appointment- the receptionist finally understood that I had the right appointment already booked and I was then allowed to keep that appointment and was told they will arrange a blood test afterwards. They were pretty unapologetic but did admit that the person who gave me the wrong advice in person when I booked was new and in training. They did eventually apologise when I stated that this wasn’t really an acceptable excuse having taken time off work and driven to the appointment I made weeks ago at their behest I have been given conflicting information I have a message stating they will delay my medication (due to get more before the medication review earliest appointment) and told on the phone that they won’t stop my medication because I have booked an appointment. I genuinely don’t trust them to give me correct information anymore and just hope that they do not stop my medication as I genuinely booked the earliest possible appointment and shouldn’t be penalised for their lack of availability.
