Would like to say thankyou for the great service i received last Friday when i attended the walk in centre. I was seen promptly by the doctor who listened whilst i described by symptons, i was given an E C G which was fine but he decided to send me to Same Day Emergency Centre to have blood tests. The results from them showed i needed a stay in hospital where i had to have a stent fitted on Monday. I will be forever grateful for the doctor as going when i did meant i got prompt treatment for what was a serious condition in the end.

  3. Review titled States it treats dressings and wounds but

Arrived, waitEd patiently to be seen, a 90 year old patient with sore open wounds that needed redressing, it’s the only walk in centre within a 20mile radius of their home, states it treats dressings and wounds. Get in meet the very kind nurse only to be told they have no dressing materials on site! What a waste of everyone’s time and energy! Distressing and tiring for the patient. Now at her GPS and guess what no dressings there either! Appalling Bedfordshire NHS!

Never an appointment available when ever you call. Pity those that really need appointments but can't get one.

  5. Review titled Fabulous NHS service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I took my son to this walk-in clinic this morning and when we joined the queue at 8:30 there was already a 2-3 hour wait. The receptionists were absolutely amazing, they booked people in continuously for the next 2 hours and 10 minutes until the rush slowed down - they were friendly, professional and their smile never slipped once. The compassion they showed to each individual that turned up was second to none - true NHS hero’s. Just want to give those two ladies on reception Saturday 3rd December a big shout out. Amazing.

  6. Review titled Kindness and compassion!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Receptionist and lady calling people for their flu jabs were so warm and kind! And the Dr we saw was also so warm and friendly, didn’t rush us and listened so well. Checked my daughter over really well and eased my worries. With the amount of stress the NHS are under constantly they still all have smiles on their faces. Never been to a walk in before but we didn’t have to wait long at all. I was outside when I was called and they didn’t skip over me they came and got me so I am so happy. Really good experience I came away feeling reassured and happy. Thank you so much!

  7. Review titled Unable to get appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

One of the doctors, that took over an ongoing issue I’ve been having since 2019, around early August 2021, asked me to come back to see him after I have had a blood test. Since late August/early September 2021, I’ve been trying to get a follow up appointment to see him. I’ve been repeatedly told there are no appointments and to try again the following day. I’ve even asked in the short term I’m willing to see someone else, but there is no appointments. Something must be wrong if I’ve been trying to get an appointment for a year and can’t get one. It’s been a pretty much the same situation I’ve been going through (see previous reviews from me) regarding my Cellulitis infections I’ve been having. I’ve been told to A&E to get my leg dressed 2 to 3 times a week, by receptionists. The receptionists have also said to go to A&E to have follow up appointments that the doctor I was seeing, who requested me seeing after I had my blood tests. No wonder A&E is overstretched if Receptionists are telling people to go to A&E for stuff that is usually done at a doctors surgery and stuff like a doctor requesting to see you. A&E is supposed to be dealing with emergencies and not follow up appointments that a GP has requested and dealing with redressings 2 to 3 times a week

  10. Review titled Exemplary care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I used the walk-in-centre for an intimate healthcare need, which before coming I was extremely anxious about. The staff, including the receptionist and the doctor I saw, couldn't have been kinder and more understanding. They were extremely gentle in their approach and considerate of how they handled things, seeing me within a very reasonable amount of time. They put me at ease straight away. I was unable to see a female practitioner, and they offered a chaperone without me even suggesting. The doctor took time over my appointment in giving me the reassurance and information I needed. I can't thank them enough. I would recommend using them, and I certainly will if I need to again, where I had previously been fearful of being quickly dismissed or struggling to be seen.
