After calling and calling and calling I finally got through to what can only be described as an uncaring unkind no compassion woman, I asked for an appointment to be told there is no treatment for my condition and that there were no appointments, this is coming from someone who is not medically trained but is trained enough to tell me there is no treatment for me. I called again the next day to and finally got an appointment to which I had to have further investigation at the hospital to which my diagnosis is now cause for a major operation. The receptionist at this surgery need to use there protected learning time to actually be trained for the job. They need to stop thinking they are above every patient at this practice. The practice manager should be ashamed of there employees, maybe a conversation on taking prebookings is in order waiting a couple of weeks for an appointment is better then calling daily only to be told to call again tomorrow at 8am.

This doctors practice continues to disappoint. Most of the staff that answer the phones are extremely unhelpful and rude. The doctors are no better. I spoke to a make doctor on the phone who literally reduced me to tears I'm so upset with the way I have been treated. It's just not right. There is only one doctor a lady doctor who is actually helpful and nice. I will be leaving this surgery as I don't feel comfortable and I'm very upset with the way I have been spoken to. I would suggest to anyone who is looking for a surgery don't register at this one. 1/10

There's no queue system to call in so im literally pressing redial on my phone after every engaged tone. When i finally get through and the phone rings, it rings and rings only for someone to pick up and hang up immediately. Not the first time this has happened when im trying to get an appointment either and if you call later they just tell you to call at 8 am tomorrow.

I had the pleasure of seeing one of the nurses about my blood pressure, I was seen within a day of requesting an appointment. At the consultation I was treated by a very friendly nurse who explained everything that I needed to know and put my mind at rest. I've been a patient at this practice for over 20 years and I have never had any negative experiences. Keep up the great work!

Is very hard if impossible to see anyone face to face with waiting weeks for appointments for blood tests then another week after the results are in for info and help esp frustrating when I know there is a problem from results it causes stress and worry

Purbeck health center is a very professional doctors, the staff are caring hard working and always have a smile for you, I can always get a appointment, I've never had to worry about seeing a doctor or nurse, wonderful staff always going above and beyond to help, thank you all for all your help.

I have been with the surgery for over 10 years however it has like most surgeries become impossible to get an appointment. However the surgery it's self advises they only ever have 1 on call doctor in and you can only see him if after you have had a phone call with him he invites you in. A nurse appointment us not available unless they call you first. There is one receptionist who is extremely rude and does not want to talk to you on the phone. On average whether my self or my partner or my children need an appointment it takes around 120 calls at 8am and by 8.05 when I usually get through there is no phone call appointments left with said doctor. They also do not have any midwife care at this doctors you will be redirected elsewhere.

We have been registered with the practice for many years and can't fault it. The reception staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The nurses and doctors have always been excellent and given us all the help we could have asked for. Highly recommend.

A big thankyou to purbeck house especially to the nurses there. One in particular had the knowledge to alert a doctor and takes swabs after I had come out of hospital. This enabled the doctor to make a decision to put me back on a healing path. However over the past Month I have frequented the surgery quite often and seen all nurses who have all been amazing thankyou again
