  1. Review titled Poor reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jane Sanderson - Posted on 10 April 2024

I just walked half a mile in the lashing rain to pick up a registration form. The NHS website clearly stated that I would not be able to enrol online and that one could get a form at the surgery. The receptionist declined to give me a form and said that I had to fill in the online form! I feel that the reception I received was all about what I could do for the surgery rather than what they could do for me. After 20 years of not using a GP I was left wondering what it would be like if I needed urgent help and not just an eye referral..

  2. Review titled A professional and prompt service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

During a recent asthma occurrence I received an excellent service from the Preston Road surgery. It included telephone consultations, three face-to-face consultations / examinations and various laboratory tests. These were followed up by a telephone call from the doctor to discuss the results and to see how I was progressing. I couldn’t have wished for a better response. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Practice Efficiency has gone down since Covid

Rated 2 stars out of 5

It takes over 20 minutes to speak to someone to either get an appointment or advice. When one is ill they do not want to listen Practice messages and statistics they just simply want to speak with someone. Its taken me nearly 20 minutes to get connected. Its about time GP's started seeing patients instead of trying to diagnose over the phone conditions that may have a serious consequence

  4. Review titled EConsult Brilliance

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JamesM - Posted on 24 June 2022

I suspected a viral rash was shingles given I had chicken pox as a child and have a ongoing trauma from a broken arm that after 4 years since the accident still leaves me with discomfort in my hand. I posted photographs of my rash which were at the same relative position on my front, left side and back. My GP rang me, confirmed my suspicion and prescribed drugs for collection at a pharmacy outside the county. Upon treatment lasting 5 days the rash and infection was cleared up, all of which prevented a much worsening condition. I can only thank my GP and endorse the use of remote access to my surgery specifically the eConsult service. Thank you
