Couldn't thank you enough for my recent experience. Quick and friendly service provided. The surgery was nice and clean, quiet and parking isn't an issue. I like that I can self sign in also. Thank you for my great experience <3

  2. Review titled Repeat prescription proceedures

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I ordered a repeat prescription on 6th September and expected it to be ready at the chemist on Saturday 9th September.I was then told the chemist knew nothing about the order. I visited the Pinewood surgery on Monday 11th September and was told my request had not been actioned but would be processed by 4pm today. As a chronic asthmatic I need my inhalers and depend on them. I have now been 48 hours without this particular inhaler and am struggling. I could at least have been sent a text or otherwise advised if my request posed a problem so I could make another arrangement. This is 6 days processing time which is well in excess of normal processing time.

  3. Review titled Dont care/Unbothered

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been suffering with Haemorrhoids for the last 4-6 weeks, i just keep getting fobbed off with creams/ointments. I was told by one GP that basically i have to deal with the pain and go through loads and loads of creams to "build a case" - enough is enough! my mental health is critically on the line - i am missing work and do not get sick pay! This is not quality of life! and when i do call or speak to anyone im made to feel like im bothering them or being dramatic! being told "its only one the size of a pea" it doesnt matter the size i can feel it and its painful! all i want is a referral and im made to feel that because its not pouring with blood 24/7 that its not severe enough to have something done about it... why does everyone have to get to a critical stage before they are helped??Another tried to tell me it was a skin tag... I know my body!

I have an issue whereby I cannot it seems have any kind of consultation regarding the issue. Fill out Ask questions and get a call back. No-one has ever mentioned a physical examination. It is assumed to be post nasal drip issue but is there more to it!!

Brilliant Service from my new Surgery together with the service given by Pinewood/Derby Surgeries. My first experience using Ask my GP. I strongly recommend this method to get a quick response from a Doctor. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Not Open and Honest

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I tried to book an appointment, I was informed by recorded message to use AskmyGP, when online to book and found no availability. Am asked to call early in the morning - that's 'mission impossible'. On the website, am advised to use an appointment form - there's no form to fill. All the information online is not correct or true. I was involved in an incident which am experiencing some pain. it's getting worse. By 8am I'm on my way to way so I don't know when I can be able to contact my GP or even see one!

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. We use AskmyGP to enable patients quick access to a clinician however once we have reached our capacity we place a note on the system informing patients of this and ask them to call the practice if they have a medical emergency. On 18.05.2022 we had a GP Education afternoon therefore from 1pm 111 took over our calls. This was advertised on our website and on our telephone message. You can access AskMyGP via our website which is available however if you would prefer please call the surgery and our care navigation team will be happy to help you. I am unable to contact you directly as you have not left your name however I would be happy to discuss further should you wish you can contact me on 01473 682614. Kind Regards Lena Newman Practice Operations Manager

  7. Review titled Kind and helpful support received from the doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 June 2022

I have been experiencing a challenging and stressful situation with a former employer. I contacted one of the doctors via the online patient system requesting a supporting letter for evidence in relation to this. Despite being obvioulsy very busy, the doctor kept me informed of when he would be able to call me to discuss this. He was as good as his word and made time for me at the end of an obviously very busy day. He listened carefully, demonstrated care and showed interest. Then, again, as good as his word and just as promised, the supporting letter arrived a few days later and worded very helpfully. Such a kind and dedicated doctor; I am so very grateful. Unlike previous GP surgeries, I wasn't even asked for a fee for the letter. Since registering as a patient about four years ago, my experience of Pinewood surgery has been for the most part, really excellent. Thank You So Very Much *****

  8. Review titled Patient care

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Dear Sir, Madam - Surgery Not one usually to complain but on this occasion, I felt it necessary to express my disappointment in the service provided. Having been admitted into hospital Friday 13th with a minor heart attack, and after undergoing an angioplasty and having a stent inserted, I was thankfully discharged form hospital on Tuesday 17th May. I called the surgery yesterday Wednesday 18th to book an appointment, I spoke to a really helpful receptionist in order to speak to a doctor regarding my arm being swollen due to the catheterisation. The conversation and information received from the doctor, I feel was poor with little regard to the procedure I had just undertaken, all I was asked was "is it swollen, is it hot to the touch, and if its spreading to go back to the A&E department" !. It came across as no interest or unwilling to help with no inquiry to how I am feeling and total lack of patient care. I live on my own, told not to drive for at least one week by the hospital, and combined with having no energy at all, the prospect of having to travel back to the hospital to possibly sit for 3 to 4 hours, was not something I would have been able to achieve or withstand. I know we are currently in difficult times and try to avoid face to face meetings etc, but has the thought and compassion completely gone ? a little more inquiry into my general health position would have been nice, and would it have been too much to actually have been given the offer to see a doctor, in order to access the arm first hand and give reassurance would also have been nice. Not currently sure what the purpose of the doctors are right now, if the general answer is go to A&E. Thank you for letting me air my concerns. Ps I now understand there is now no mechanism to raise my complaint directly with Pinewood, as I'm informed they no longer monitor the email address? on the website.
