I had my medication review with the surgery pharmacist. She was really helpful with advice, and follow up. Her manner was caring, compassionate,thoughtful and reassuring. I was happy with my experience.

During Jan/Feb 23 my experience of seeing a Dr was nothing but exceptional, the time and attention that the Dr gave to me was just what I needed. I didn’t feel rushed, everything I said was noted and prompt decisions made. Given that the NHS are under such strain I couldn’t have asked for a better service. I take my hat off to those that help the likes of me, and do it with total professionalism but with a caring element too - thank you.

I have beena patient for a long time . To be honest the service , over the years has been a bit hit and miss . however the last few months the reception staff , doctors and nurses have been wonderful. Thanks

Reception team went above and beyond while helping me sort my daughters appointment. They were also happy to help sort my issues at the same time. The nursing was amazing aswell making my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed for her vaccinations and flu nasal spray.

I am new to the area and so only recently registered with this practice. Sadly, my first experience here has not been positive. I wished to make a non-urgent appointment but was told by the receptionist that I needed to ring back at 8am the next day so I could be given an appointment for sometime next month! When I questioned why this was necessary I was bluntly told “it’s very easy to book”. Easy how? At my last GP we could make appointments any time of the day and book online, there was no need to call back at a predetermined time when the lines will be busy and I’ll be lucky to get through. When I registered with the practice I received email confirmation stating that all new adult patients (over age 18) will be offered the opportunity to book a New Patient Medical, but the receptionist told me this was for over 40s only (I am 36) and (again bluntly) refused this appointment. I’ve also looked on the NHS app and this practice doesn’t seem to allow you to manage anything via the app (prescriptions, appointments, medical history), it all has to be done over the phone and according to the bizarre booking rules the practice enforces. As a manager working in a different part of the NHS I have so far found the general organisation of this practice really poor and the staff I interacted with did not seem to have patient care or experience at the heart of what they were doing — so much for the upholding the NHS values.

My son has an ongoing skin condition which I have struggled to know how to manage it. When we contacted the doctors through an E consult we were asked to go into the surgery. From the moment we saw the 1st doctor we have been cared for so well. Nothing has been to much and so much amount of care and help has been given to me and my son. Nothing is too much trouble. I am so super grateful for all the help we’ve received. Such caring people.

I have been receiving care and treatment for a condition that came on suddenly 6 months ago. The GP who has been seeing me regularly from the onset has been incredible. I have felt so supported, understood and have received excellent care to manage the condition and complexities that have come with it. I have nothing but positive praise for the care I have received at this practice and from an incredibly caring GP during a really difficult time. Thank you.

I phoned for an appointment and 10 minutes after I phoned, the doctor rang and asked me to attend an appointment within 45 minutes I was then prescribed antibiotics by the doctor.

My experience at patterdale Lodge is the staff are friendly and helpful and short waiting times it's a very clean surgery and the doctors are very pleasant and listen to what you have to say .
