Review titled Poor service from receptionist
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 March 2025
I attended an appointment for a blood test which I believed to be at 10.10. It was actually 09.50. How ever I entered the surgery a minute or so before 10am as not wanting to be late for what I thought was my appointment. I arrived at the reception desk and mmwas told sorry, your late, then looked at her watch and said its 11 mins late. Anything over 10 we can't do anything. I was then told to book an appointment for the following week. I explained that I had taken time off work and was there any chance I could be still fitted in. I was told no. Not even a chat to see if I could be fitted in. Very very poor service from the receptionist in my opinion.

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy. If you can contact the Practice directly, we can properly look into the matter for you. As a general principle we send confirmation and reminder messages to patients wherever possible and unfortunately have very little capacity to squeeze patients in if they are running late.

Review titled Simply First Class
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephen Greensword - Posted on 15 January 2025
All that I could have hoped for, the receptionist was very helpful, and the GP that I met could not have been more professional. He was thorough, attentive, caring and very pro-active. He arranged tests for me at the N&N, which have been carried out successfully. Despite the massive pressure that the NHS is under I found this doctor (and the others at Paston) to be first class. I don't know where they find their motivation but I wouldn't mind some!! Thanks again.

Review titled Great physio service
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Rose - Posted on 16 January 2025
When I was experiencing severe knee pain I was given an appointment with the first contact physiotherapist (fcp) at Paston Surgery. I was seen quickly and given advice from someone who is an expert in the field of joint/muscular pain. From my description she could tell me right away what the problem was, give me practical advice, exercises and, most importantly, she gave me hope that my condition would get better. I have been doing the knee exercises that were recommended as well as continuing to take outdoor exercise. I have also stuck to an over the counter painkiller regime and feel so much better. When I arrived at my appointment I was in severe pain and feeling despair. I left the appointment knowing that I had been given good advice from someone who knew what they were talking about as well as confidence that my condition would get better. It has. I highly recommend this service.

Review titled Receptionist
Rated 4 stars out of 5

In general I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with Paston, but there is one receptionist that could do with some retraining as she’s extremely ignorant and rude on the phone every time I’ve spoke to her. All the rest of the receptionists have been extremely helpful, just this one seems to not enjoy doing her job.

Review titled A great service, above & beyond
Rated 5 stars out of 5

From the United Kingdom, I now live abroad but am currently visiting and needed to see a Clinician for my 3 month old. I called to register as a Temporary Resident & the HCA I spoke to (Erin) was so calm, kind and helpful it really put me at ease and made the process so smooth. I was seen by a Doctor and he went above and beyond with his checks and explanations, he was very thorough and even advised on another condition for my 3 month old that I hadn’t asked about. I had to bring my 2 year old along to the appointment and the Doctor was very kind to him also & even gave him a sticker as we left. I would certainly recommend this GP Surgery for the patient experience, team & level of care. I do, however, feel sorry for the team and patients who have to sit in/near the waiting room as it is very bleak and looks like a large storage cupboard with boxes everywhere but ultimately as a patient you’re not there for the view & the team were outstanding! Thank you so much!
