  1. Review titled Never get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mirela Gribinica - Posted on 17 January 2024

Phoned them this morning to book my 3 months old for a check on his itchy and dry face, he had a cream given by the doctor which we used but no improvement, the lady at the reception was asking me why haven't I called earlier and everything is booked I haven't called earlier because we finally got some sleep after hours of crying and itching. I don't call to get judged by a receptionist, never helps never even tries to go check if he can be seen or get a call back. I have called 111 but very disappointed of this clinic. So dear mums if you get a few hours of sleep in the morning because the baby hasn't slept all night then its on you and the receptionist will tell you off and your baby won't be seen.

  2. Review titled Not great

Honestly. I understand the NHS is under pressure however the lack of empathy from receptionist and the current wait time in the call line is ridiculous and then to be told there are no more slots but if you over whelm 111 they can book into the practices appointment. 1 hours later I am no further forward. My heart goes out to old and vulnerable people who would have given up by now and would be sitting in silence suffering. What an absolute joke! Something has to change!

  4. Review titled Number 48 in the telephone waiting queue

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Adele Hedley - Posted on 27 June 2022

I don’t want to moan too much about my GP Surgery because there have been times when the reception staff have been very kind & helpful to myself of which I’m very grateful for. With having a chronic illness & there being only telephone call back appointments from a GP, it’s become normal for myself to skip through “for example symptoms” and finish the call unsatisfied I’m not sure as to why patients aren’t able to pre book appointments, Im aware of other GP surgeries that allow patients to pre book a telephone appointment. Im unsure as to why 11am is the dead line when receptionist will not allow patients to book for the next morning am slot for a call back. I’ve also never known a surgery to have at times between 30 to 40 patients all waiting in a queue on the phone each morning. I am still grateful for being a patient at this surgery because Paston Health Centre has to be by far the best GP surgery I have experienced since moving up from Surrey in 2016.

  5. Review titled Bad System

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Phil Carter - Posted on 22 April 2022

Can someone explain how I can call the surgery for an appointment at 08h31 and be told I am number 34 in the call queue?? Can someone also explain how it is that I can receive a text telling me to '...call the surgery at 08.30am to make a telephone appointment with the GP to discuss your recent x-ray results...' When I eventually work my way up the call queue I am told 'No appointments left, you'll have to call back back Monday...' Theoretically, I could keep calling on any day and still not get a callback because of the bad system employed whereby there are 30+ people in front of me one minute after the lines open! This happens quite regularly, but no one at the surgery can tell me why. I merely followed the instructions in the text sent to me, but I have now have to wait until Monday (today is Friday), with some trepidation, to be informed whether I have a chest problem.
