  1. Review titled Essential basic equipment not available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 May 2025

I attended Saturday am clinic as requested to have BP measured and blood drawn as part of an overdue medication review. The clinician I saw did not introduce herself or state what her role in the practice was. I had to ask her. She was unable to take a BP measurement as, despite searching in several adjacent rooms she was unable to locate a cuff that would fit my upper arm. This is so basic and not a costly item. Can you please ensure that every clinical room has cuffs available to suit whatever patient walks through the door? It is not acceptable to be told “sorry, I can’t take your blood pressure”. I am not too concerned from a personal point of view as I check mine fairly regularly but for the next person it might constitute failure to pick up on an important indicator. There is also the issue of patient dignity to consider. The obesity demographics in the UK including Lewisham are sufficient to warrant larger cuffs bring available for patients who need them, at all times. Could I please have a reply to this comment. I see that most feedback left here goes unanswered. If you don’t wish to reply to feedback, why ask for it? Please show those of us who take the time to help you focus on delivering better, more responsive and accessible care some respect by responding. Thank you

  2. Review titled Good practice

The experience I’m having at Parkview surgery is a bit up and down even though I’ve had a heart attack the urgency doesn’t seem to be quick enough because there’s always a waiting list but I’ve come in to day to get an urgent blood test and I’m being seen today after the receptionist has pushed it through for me so I’m very happy with the quick response today

  3. Review titled Outstanding service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had appointment on 10/03/2025 @ 17:45 The doctor services are always outstanding. I am always happy whenever I am able to book an appointment with him and also happy when he does the consultation for my children. This is because he is patient, empathetic, listens well, and is always ready to help. His attitude allows me to relax and feel that I am in a comfortable space to express my worries. I believe that this how every doctor should make their patients feel, and I hope that the Dr is noticed for how well he is doing his job. Thank you for taking the time to read this Rita Asante

  4. Review titled Used to be good but not anymore

Rated 3 stars out of 5

This used to be an excellent practice but in the past 12 months or so it has been increasingly difficult to get an appointment with a doctor. I think it's been taken over by a private company and maybe that's why. You can get an appointment with a Physician Associate but its hard to get an appointment with a doctor, in my experience.

  5. Review titled Unhelpful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Eve Green - Posted on 15 January 2025

On Christmas Eve, I was admitted to KCH with severe bleeding from diverticulitis. All attempts to control and stem the flow were futile, and I was rushed to the theatre early hours of Christmas day. After 5 1/2 hours of surgery to remove parts of my colon, I came too in a ward. I was allowed home 10 days later. I have never felt pain like this in my life and just wanted to concentrate on my healing. Sadly the day after discharge my wound was leaking and after a battle I got a doctor to visit, he found my temprtature up and insisted I go to AE, those are two letters that terrify me as I have been in and out of there more than I care to remember in the past 7years and the experience has resulted in loss of blood, blackouts and wakIng up in resus bleeding out and because its taken some time to go through the three or more stages of AE. An ambulance took me in tears to the hospital. My wound was treated, and I was able to go back home with antibiotics. My discharge notes apparently stated to be in the care of my GP. I tried to get a nurse to visit to clean and change my dressing. At first, I was told I had to get to the surgery, and at this moment, I could hardly walk and have no means to get to the surgery. Then I was told I would have to go back to AE again. I reiterated that all I want is a nurse to visit. The receptionist finally did my requested but I was informed that it could be up to 12hours wait, I wasn't bothered as I could not go anywhere. After that was sorted out, and AP called to inform me it would be 48 hours for a nurse. She clearly could not have read any paperwork as she would not be calling me to try and unravel what had already been booked as well as finding her unhelpful. I found her rude and dismissive. Anyway, the nurse came (3.1.2025) late afternoon, cleaned me up, and changed the dressing, stating someone should visit again on friday. Well, today is the 15.1.2025, and I have not had a revisit from a nurse. I have now paid for my wound to be cleaned and dressed. It's the lack of empathy that gets me. I have paid into the NHS since I was 17, and I will be 70 this year, so I know that I have paid my dues to be treated fairly regardless of a system that lacks caring people. I pray that the Lord heals and keeps me well because the mention of AE, doctors surgery, or anything like that terrifies me. Well done Parkview, as soon as I am up and able, I will be looking around for another practice. Kindest regards E L Green

Always get to see a someone on the day, their new triage system is brilliant. Doctors are caring and they listen, reception is very helpful. I had an ongoing issues and when I moved to this practice they sorted it out straight away. I called up today they sent me the triage link and I completed it, I got a call back within the hour and got a same day appointment.

  7. Review titled Not as good as it used to be

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2024

This used to be an excellent practice but recently I have had to wait 2 weeks to see a GP (unless it is urgent on the day). Also, even if I ask to see a GP I have been offered or given an appointment with a PA who is not a doctor.

  8. Review titled Exceptional Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 July 2024

Called at 8am in the morning and was given an on the day appointment. The clinician i spoke with was extremely attentive to my needs and made me felt like i was actually being listened to. I have moved around quite a lot so have been registered with many GP's and this one has by far given the best service.

I started having problem with my left eye vision in 2020 resulting catarct surgery at KCH in October 2020 but it went wrong due a pinehole creation. In March 2021 it was decide to perform the surgical operation to remove floater causing that problem. The risk facotr was discussed which made me scaredf of becomgin blind. I therefore did not show sillingness for the surgical operation. But it resulted in deteriorating the sitution further and I started facing a big problem. My vision becam blurred and I could not resad or write. I consulted Pakrview surgery in May 2024 and they very kindlky gave me full support arranging appointment with KCH in June 2024. The surgical operation was performed 18 July 2024 which great success. I don't have any rpoblem with my eyes and can see around, read and write without any difficulty. I attribute it to the timely, sincere and expeditious effort made by Parkview Surgery, Brownhill Road , London. I give five star ranking to this surgery.

  10. Review titled Bad Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mrs Susan Pamela Chisholm - Posted on 19 February 2024

I am on long term medication for high blood pressure and pain relief. For the past 8 - 10 months I have had problem in obtaining my repeat prescription. Either items missed or not recieved when requested. I then got into the habit of ordering my prescription a few days earlier just so that I would make sure my medication would nit run out. On Tuesday 13th I ordered my prescription and would have expected them by Thursday, so left it till Friday to collect just to make sure they would be there. I arrived at the pharmacy to be told they not there. . I called the surgery and was told I would have not get them for another 48 hrs. The receptionist did not want to listen or understand that I would have nothing for the weekend. The pharmacist also spoke to her and requested it be treated as urgent. I still not receive the prescription over the weeweekend. Due to the type of painkillers I was not able to get some to cover me for the weekend. Due to this I have spend the weekend unable to attend work due to pain, I have been sick vomiting since Friday. It just concerns me that the receptionist do not understand the situation that some of the patients are in or suffering without medication. I have made this complain in person to a Dr but nothing seems to have improved.
