Following a cruise, taken ill and told to contact my GP urgently as I was leaving ship next day. Rang surgery told that doctor refused to see me and make an appointment for 7 days time. Not happy so told to go to walk in centre. Diagnosed with double pneumonia. Emailed practice 88 year old with double pneumonia and doctor refused to see me. Contacted by a doctor and had a consultation. Very disappointed at the way in which I was treated.

Rang this practice for an appointment to go through the waiting period on the phone got to caller number 1 only to be ignored and left on the phone for approx 15 mins which no one answered I find this well and truly disappointing I thought our nhs doctors are there to help us not ignore us.

Rang at 8am to get antibiotics only to be told one of those GP’s had phoned in sick so there was appointments and to try ringing the next day. It’s important for me to get the antibiotics due to my medical condition but was just told they couldn’t do anything and to ring 111! They receptionist was extremely rude as they are every time I ring!

  4. Review titled Poorest Communications via Reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

I Wished to get test results for a test for cancer cancer so I rang after 2pm as requested on the telephone message. After 2 hours of waiting to have my call picked up I drove to the surgery at 4:46pm only to discover Reception closed and nobody available to speak to. If Reception HAD to close why did It not not change their telephone message to reflect this? This is more than 2 hours I’ve had of them telling me to hold on “for the next available agent”that I’m going to have to pay for. Never mind Reception asking people to be considerate and kind. ALL we ask for is a little consideration in return. Clearly, I’m going to have to wait until after 2pm tomorrow, through no fault of my own, to get these test results so that I can talk to my children about my diagnosis!!
