I love my GP, I feel so greatful for what I get here! I started coming old kent road surgery since I was first pregnant 3 years ago. Since then, I never feel disappointed. Doctors are well experienced, nurses are caring, receptionists are well organised! Thank you the team for always doing a wonderful job!

Never have a problem with this surgery. Nothings perfect in life but the people that work here give it their best shot. My family for one are very grateful for all the care given over the years. I think sometimes people expect too much.

  4. Review titled Very attentive and caring GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My daughter has an ongoing acne problem and our GP has always been attentive and receptive to her needs and adjusted her treatment to suit her. We are very happy with the positive experience we have every time we need to see a doctor at the clinic.

  5. Review titled Worst staff and bad service

Rated 1 star out of 5

For more than 2 months I have been trying to have a face to face appointment for my daughter Since he has been coughing for 2 months and all they do is recommend me to give her syrup, syrup and syrup And already in the last 2 weeks they have said that she should take amoxicillin Which was useless and then he was prescribed a spray Which also does nothing. So if you don't want your family member to receive the same treatment please avoid this place..

  6. Review titled Not a caring place

Rated 2 stars out of 5

It is practically impossible to see a doctor. Perhaps the best way is to relate a recent experience to illustrate the point. I suffer occasionally from mouth infections, and antibiotic prescriptions are what were needed in the past. They tend to happen fairly rapidly, and after a night of increasing discomfort, in the morning I popped in the surgery. All I wanted was for a prescription, two minutes of attention or even a phone call back. Not that the surgery look crowded, with a couple of patients in an otherwise empty waiting room. But, alas, could not even solicit any attention. The receptionist was clear, no possibility to see anyone or even pass a message, at best I could phone back at 1pm but, she made it clear there was slim to no chance of arranging anything (note that the surgery do not allow booking in advance and apparently one has to try their luck every day phoning in with the chance of finding a spot, if one have a telephone and manages to get through). If I needed, anything, should I try the "111" service (that is generally acknowledged to be more or less useless. What I found particularly distressful, for a surgery at least, was the lack of empathy. Nobody asked my name, if I had any special need or if I could leave a message. Just, "you're on your own and don't bother us" attitude. Great example of running a care service!!

  7. Review titled Worst practice ever!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Highly unprofessional staff and appalling service!!! When calling the reception staff, you are told that no appointments can be scheduled in advance. You are advised to call in the morning to make an emergency appointment. That might work for acute problems or illness, but for chronic conditions or regular check-ups it is not acceptable to be off work with the potential of not even being seen on the day! Employers allow making appointments but ideally with advanced notice to facilitate cover of duties on the day. When I enquired if I could have a call back by the speciality nurse in order to get the blood test form issued in order to be able to get the bloods taken at the closest hospital of my choice. I was told that a message will be left for the nurse and I shall call back at 4 pm the same day, which I did. When I called at 4 pm to enquire an update, I was told that the nurse was too busy and I shall call back in an hours time, which I also did. I was told that the nurse will call me back when he is available, most likely the next day. Two days later, still no call back. The worst part of it is, it was the specialist nurse's recommendation to have a follow up blood test within three months in order to check whether the actions taken to improve a certain marker yielded any positive results. Why are there no triggers on your system for check-ups, allowing patients to request them, have their tests and then schedule an appointment for review to discuss next steps and actions? Other surgeries offer to book slots with a member of staff. They have an overview of the current conditions of their patients. They track the follow-up appointments electronically, send out notifications to their patients to remind them about an upcoming check-up. Patient care is all about build a a rapport, provision of a consistent and reliable service, because in 10 years I have never seen the same member of GP staff twice. There is no continuity of care.
