    I visited the GP surgery this morning for a blood test, smear test, and swabs, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the care I received. I was seen by two different nurses, both of whom were absolutely lovely. They took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and were incredibly kind and compassionate throughout the entire process. What stood out most was how thoroughly they explained each step, ensuring I felt safe and comfortable at all times. Having had numerous difficult experiences with women’s health professionals in the past, it was genuinely refreshing to be met with such thoughtful and attentive care. I left feeling reassured and well looked after, rather than anxious or traumatised. A huge thank you to the team for making what can often be a stressful experience so much more positive.

    This is on behalf of my parents. Due to the surgeries lack of care and timely follow up, my father who is caring for my mother with dementia, has hypertension, from the stress of not getting the support he deserves from this surgery. An urgent request has been put in for a prescription review to help with behaviour and sleep and a date of the 23/6/23 has been given for a telephone consult has been given to my dad, when it was requested they speak to my sister who has agreed access. The last time he needed urgent help the doctor wouldn’t even come out of the office and see him and take the time to help my mother. As a surgery you should be ashamed of yourselves. prior to this a prescription sat on someone’s desk for weeks despite requests for it to be issued so a new medication could be sort. If anything happens to my father due to your lack of care and consideration I will be taking it further. When dealing with a dementia patient it should be dealt with as an emergency with quick appointment turn arounds. You are letting the NHS down.

We have a team dedicated to providing care to frail elderly patients and members of the team specialise in helping patients with Dementia. If you or a member of your family would like to call and ask to speak to someone in the Integrated Care Team, they will be able to help your parents get the care they need quickly.
