    This is on behalf of my parents. Due to the surgeries lack of care and timely follow up, my father who is caring for my mother with dementia, has hypertension, from the stress of not getting the support he deserves from this surgery. An urgent request has been put in for a prescription review to help with behaviour and sleep and a date of the 23/6/23 has been given for a telephone consult has been given to my dad, when it was requested they speak to my sister who has agreed access. The last time he needed urgent help the doctor wouldn’t even come out of the office and see him and take the time to help my mother. As a surgery you should be ashamed of yourselves. prior to this a prescription sat on someone’s desk for weeks despite requests for it to be issued so a new medication could be sort. If anything happens to my father due to your lack of care and consideration I will be taking it further. When dealing with a dementia patient it should be dealt with as an emergency with quick appointment turn arounds. You are letting the NHS down.

We have a team dedicated to providing care to frail elderly patients and members of the team specialise in helping patients with Dementia. If you or a member of your family would like to call and ask to speak to someone in the Integrated Care Team, they will be able to help your parents get the care they need quickly.

    I have attended monteagle surgery for a number of years and have always received outstanding care. The new online system allows me to contact the surgery for non urgent requests that can be dealt with online. When I have had face to face appointments with both doctors and nurses without exception they have been polite patient and helpful ensuring I receive the very best of care, Additionally the admin support in reception and on the phone has always been excellent and the staff extremely polite and helpful. I have recommended the surgery on a number of occasions knowing they would receive the very best of care. Thank you

    Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review. We do try very hard to provide excellent care and are delighted when this is appreciated. We are particularly glad to hear that you have used our new online system Anima and found it useful. We know that most people are a bit wary about a new way of doing things but we are getting lots of positive feedback and are glad that you found it useful.
