    I’ve never used the chat doc service before but it was a lot better than i was expecting. It was easy to use and all of the questions allowed me to give the necessary information. I got a reply from the gp service very quickly after using it and i would definitely want to use it again.

    An excellent surgery and the staff are very encouraging. Even was able to get my medication and next door is the pharmacy

    WhatsApp chat doc is in opinion is a complete disaster I've been trying to cancel an appointment & just can't get any reply

    Dear Patient I am sorry that you found it difficult to cancel your recent appointment. You can always call and speak to a receptionist to cancel an appointment, the only thing our receptionist cannot do is book GP appointments on the telephone or at our reception desk.     So far I haven’t had any issue using the new chat doc service. I was at first quite apprehensive however it has been quite easy to use and I find I’m getting through for either a face to face appointment or even getting a call back much quicker than before.

    Always helpful and quick to respond. Staff have gone out of their way to support the rocky transition from one GP and pharmacy to another ! ( I moved from Hilly Fields medical centre after I moved house ) It was a nightmare rescued by one outstanding individual at your reception desk !!

    To my surprise, I received a reply to my message very quickly. After I had a conversation with the doctor, he decided that I should be scheduled for a consultation.

    I find using the chatdoc service straightforward. It takes less than 5 min to answer the initial questions. A person from the practice has always got back to me on the same day, usually very quickly. I have been able to arrange the tests I needed for myself, my husband has been able to get a face to face appointment for within a few days, my daughter got the appointment she needed same day. I've been able to organise a first contact physio appointment without needing to have a GP appointment first. I prefer chatdoc to waiting on hold to speak to reception, but I do feel there should always be an option to speak to reception for others who may face barriers to using a smartphone. I am grateful for the care my family is receiving at the practice. Thanks

    The new Chat Doc was easy enough to use but I prefer the option to be able to go through actual people and make appointments.

    This makes it incredibly easier to book doctors appointments, it is a smoother process. I recommend this stays in place, allowing the phone lines to be available for elderly patients.

    I like the new chat doc service as I was finding that the old call up at 8am system made me disproportionately worried and anxious both in the run up to needing to make a call, whilst in the holding queue itself and when waiting for a doctor to call me back. It also meant I put off making the call due to work/child commitments. In terms of arranging paperwork/ repeat prescriptions this has been a very welcome development for me. I do have some reservations about using the service as it feels that I have less contact with the doctors than previously (and even less than pre-Covid with face to face appointments). The chat doc system makes it easier to ‘avoid’ speaking to or seeing a doctor. I feel that this may sometimes lead to doctors not having the opportunity to properly assess the patient’s condition and needs as they would with a call/face to face appointment.
