  1. Review titled stubborn and unhelpful receptionist.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called in for the first time to my GP in years, the receptionist from the moment she answered, just wanted me to get off the phone. it was as though she hated her job. she had an Indian accent and spoke very fast. I asked to book a blood test but she said she couldn't do that and only my doctor could. Then I proceeded to ask if I could book a doctors appointment to get a blood test, she then said I had to phone 8 o clock in the morning. I then explained to her that I couldn't do that as I work overnights, she kept saying 'I can't do anything about that'. I then suggested if there was an online method where I could book an appointment and she said no. I then proceeded to ask what were the prices and what types of blood tests they offer and she said she didn't know and I had to ask the doctor. throughout the phone call she was getting more and more frustrated and it was a horrible experience. she should be banned talking to the public and she has no communication skills what's so ever. To this day I haven't had a doctors appointment or a blood test.

  2. Review titled Keeping it real

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have been registered with this surgery since birth. Like most people I sometimes struggle to get appointments, which is frustrating but I appreciate the doctor's have their own constraints. When able to see a doctor I find them pleasant and approachable, some more so than others. My health has not been brilliant this year but I can not or will not complain about the service received. I have not heard of another surgery that is not problematic, so am happy to stay with the GP's at Norvic. Some of the receptionists can be a bit curt but generally this has improved, my suggestion if you are unable to accommodate an appointment offer tactfully a suggestion ie, try 111. The nurse and GP's have my vote. They are human also and like the rest of us have their own issues to deal with.
