    I went to have bloods taken. Whilst there I mentioned I'd had chest pains. I was then immediately given an ECG and referred me for further test which were carried out quickly. I've always a good experience here and found them to be professional and friendly. I can't fault the treatment I've received from them. Infact they've been great with both myself and my husband.

    Telephoned the North Thoresby surgery just before 08.00, and got the message "Surgery closed". Immediately rang back, and got the recorded answering service. Message said press One for reception, and I was told I was number 9 in the queue..??? Waited, and next time message came on, it said there are "more" than 9 people ahead of me..? Do some people have a priority contact line to the North Thoresby surgery, or am I missing something. All I do know is that, to make an appointment is nigh on impossible at this surgery, which renders the place useless as far as I am concerend. Seriously thinking of moving somewhere else. So, No, I wouldn't recommend this surgery to anyone.

    Dear Mr Collinson, Thank you for your feedback. We apologise for your experience and want to investigate this to make sure you receive the most appropriate appointment you may need. Please email the Practice at: licb.north-thoresby.complaints@nhs.net so we can investigate this matter and offer you an appointment. Our phone lines open from 8am, and although we are extremely busy at times we do have four care navigators taking the calls, we would advise patients to stay on the line as your call will be answered as quickly as possible. If you have access to the internet you can book appointments through the online system by visiting systmonline.tpp-uk.com These appointments are available on the day for a GP telephone consultation and become available from Midnight. Subject to availability. Or you can book an appointment by visiting the Practice from 8am at either North Thoresby or Holton le Clay and speaking to a care navigator. We do not operate a priority contact line for our Patients, this must have been a technical fault and will be reported. Thank you for bring this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback as this provides us with a valuable insight into our service from the patient’s perspective and allows us to reflect and learn so we can improve the service we provide.     My Mum has been attending this practice for over 50 years. She is 76 and a severe asthmatic. She cannot get an appointment ever. The receptionist are unhelpful. Twice last week my Mum has had to visit A&E for a uti, the Dr in A&E told her that her GP should see her and to demand the service she has paid for all her life. She is in acute pain and still cannot see her local GP. unacceptable!

  4. Review titled Poor experience at GP surgery

    I had a skin blemish on my right cheek that wouldn’t heal. I eventually visited the Doctor and was referred to a dermatologist in Lincoln. After finally receiving an appointment for 4 weeks time this was cancelled and rescheduled for 4 weeks later. The dermatologist diagnosed Actinic keratosis. I have been previously referred for this condition a few years ago but it does appear on my health records. I feel this is another example of bad practice at my surgery.

    Impossible to get appointments and then only offered telephone appointments in the first instance for at least 2 weeks time. Telephone appointments are then changed to an alternative day a few days before and at a different time. Telephone appointments do not take place at the allotted time and sometimes several hours after the allotted time meaning calls are missed due to other commitments (e.g. work, childcare, other appointments). Refusal to see me face-to-face for follow up appointments following a stroke. Symptoms such as shortness of breath are not being picked up during telephone calls.

    Unable to comment on care as I have yet to attend the surgery! My criticism is the length of time to actually get an appointment. Rang on 19th May to arrange a face to face appointment, only to be told first available one is 7th June, when I will be called “any time after 2.00 pm”. I don’t think my symptoms are serious, but not being medically qualified, can’t say for sure. Why such a long wait for a telephone call?
