Tried to register my new born son who's in intensive care atm to this surgery as my partner is already registered here. I was told that we can't register becuase we no longer in there boundary. And my partner has to register some where else, she has on going problems after pregnancy and needs to see a Dr. All our up coming apointments were cancelled with in 5 minutes of leaving the surgery. Then followed by a condescending phone call from the receptionist who instigated the who ordeal, stating it is extremely important that we find a GP.

Unfortunately the surgery has a strict policy for removing patients that have moved out of our area. As the receptionist explained, you still have 30 days when you can use the surgery facilities and appointments so that you are not left without access to health care whilst you look for a new surgery to join in the area that you have moved to.The only appointment that will have been cancelled is the 6 week check that we booked as you will be over the 30 days when you will no longer be a patient. Most practices now allow registration of new patients via their NHS website which should make it easier for you if you are struggling to get to a new surgery in person.
