Although getting very frustrated about how long it takes to get hold of someone at Nene Valley Medical Practice, having to have made contact with them numerous times over the last 2 weeks, each time when I was finally answered I was very impressed with the staff and how they went out of their way to help me, it is very easy for us to complain but ultimately it is not the staff’s fault, and I feel we should not take our frustrations out on them.

In the last 2 weeks I have had to have 3 appointments at Nene Valley Medical Practice, I can not praise the staff enough they are a credit to the Health Centre, so kind makes you feel at ease definitely went the extra mile, in these challenging times for both patients and staff. Thank you

On Monday 30.05.2023 I wanted to make an appointment for my wife to see the doctor. I tried in person at the Nene medical center -failed . I tried by phone - failed. After 40 minutes of calling I gave up. The worst clinic in England I have ever dealt with. And there were some

Good afternoon, thank you for taking the time to post us a review and I am sorry to read your comments it appears you have had issues in accessing our at times overstretched services. With regard to difficulty accessing our service, it is true that we do struggle at times to keep up with the demand for our services. We are always trying to improve and a relatively new initiative that is helping is the introduction of Accurx Patient Triage. You can access this from the home screen of our website, Nene Valley Hodgson Medical Practice – Medical Doctors in Werrington Peterborough (nvhmedicalpractice.co.uk) there is a banner just under our name, which states “Need help with a non-urgent medical or admin request? Contact us online. If you click onto the submit, a new request button you can then really simply and easily tell us about your non-urgent medical or admin query. Our staff are working through these requests daily and booking in telephone consultations where appropriate for patients, so this system is then reducing the number of patients that need to call us up to access our services. So this new system is actually opening up another way to effectively contact us and get a response quickly and easily. As this is a relatively new initiative we are closely monitoring the numbers of medical and admin requests we are getting in through this portal as we then need to ensure we can respond to these queries in a timely manner. 111 is also another option for patients to gain access to services from the NHS, 111 was set up in 2011 to make it easier and quicker for patients to get the right advice or treatment they need, be that for their physical or mental health, this service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, they also have an online presence at nhs.uk to get an assessment. Although they are a telephone/online service with no physical base themselves, they have the ability to book patients who need more urgent help into both Urgent Treatment Centres and also directly into the GP Practice’s own appointment system if deemed clinically needed.” I hope this information is helpful for you going forward.
