Thank you very much for your lovely review. Good to hear the system works well! Econsultations are a great way of obtaining help or advice for issues such as medications, sick notes, or even skin rashes with photos. Thank you again.

However, we would prefer you to make contact with the surgery to enable us to identify the staff. Without this information, we are unable to make any changes. 4. Review titled Emergency lost tooth

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Lost a tooth at the weekend and rand the emergency NHS number. Got in touch with Neasham after 30 calls to other dentists. Got seen the next day, mould taken and replacement tooth being made. Made to feel at ease with fantastic customer service and care. Best service I've experienced from a dentist in Darlington. Can't thank the team enough

  5. Review titled Disappointing experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2023

I'd like to share my dissatisfaction with this surgery. I was referred to an urologist after several appointments with a nurse practitioner (I couldn't get an appointment with my primary care physician). Unfortunately, I waited on the waiting list for too long, until I became ill and had to miss work. I was now at the point where I couldn't control my bladder and needed to see a doctor. Although I raised this issue during my most recent appointment with a GP, they did not take any action to contact the hospital in order to move my appointment up. I ended up seeing a private consultant as well as a private ultrasound and scan. I have to pay a fortune while my work contract only allows me 20 days off sick. That means I'll either lose my job or go on statutory pay, which won't cover my private hospital bills. This could have been avoided if the surgery had contacted the NHS hospital and requested to be seen by an urologist sooner. I attempted to resolve this issue by contacting the practise manager. I expressed my concern and asked if they could change the last record on the system because it was inaccurate. Unfortunately, despite her assurances, this was not completed. She also promised to contact the NHS hospital to see if they could move my appointment, but she never did. Instead, she made some confidential information available on the system for my new surgery. All of this would have an effect on my current health situation. Your doctor should be the guardian of your secrets and a safe place for you to express your concerns. What I didn't discover in this surgery.

Good morning. Thank you for your detailed submission. The Surgery is sorry to hear of your experiences and would like the opportunity to investigate and respond in a more private way. As I am sure you are aware, you may raise any issue by completing the complaints forms on our website or by contacting NHS England. NHS Choices is not the way forward here. We would always ask patients to contact us directly as we cannot provide specific information to you via this media. As a general comment, the surgery has no input into waiting lists to be seen by Specialists. This is a hospital issue. Patients have the right to ask for a GP appointment should they wish when they are offered appointments. We do not enforce Nurse Practitioner appointments - although they are extremely qualified and can arrange investigations and referrals. If a patient choose to go private there will be costs incurred but again this is patient choice. We do find your comments rather personal and disappointing, when as a Practice and individuals we have tried very hard to adhere to your requests. We note you have registered with another Practice. With regard to your medical records, these are your records and are confidential, but when you move practices these move with you to ensure your new clinicians have the relevant information. We do not make contact with any new Practice in any other way. All patients are entitled to see their medical records and should anyone believe there is anything within these which is incorrect, you are entitled to ask for this to be amended or removed. This will be considered with the clinician involved. We are sorry you do not feel we looked after your health and wellbeing and wish you well for the future.

  6. Review titled Really poor practice

Receptionist staff not helpful. Appointments are impossible to get, most requests are brushed off or triaged onto self referral services. Does not care about the patients at all.

Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding. We are sorry to hear of your review and of your experience. Without further information and specific details it is difficult to comment. Unfortunately, as with all NHS services, we are under immense pressure and despite being fully staffed, we will never meet the demand. We are encouraged to signpost patients to other forms of help where appropriate. I would ask you to make contact with the surgery to discuss your issues in more detail and allow us to look into these. Thank you.

After contacting 111 I was told to contact my gp. Rang for appointment at 8am I was 28th in the queue, 21 minutes later I was told there were no available appointments left. I decided to do an econsult (used this before), not this time the link took me to 111 online, several times, So guess I'm queueing again tomorrow.

Thank you for your comments. We are unfortunately all experiencing a huge demand for healthcare services. We do have dedicated 111 slots which 111 can book directly into, depending on the issue. We also offer prebookable appointments which are available up to a month in advance and there are also some appointments available for patients to book themselves on line. You may of course speak to either the Office or Practice Manager at any time. Thank you again.

They’ve helped me in every way they can!!! You can’t ask for a better team of staff on reception!!!! I appreciate their help so much. The doctors are always great and will help and if they can’t they can signpost you to where you can get help and refer you to the correct places. Thank you to the whole surgery and a big thank you to all the reception staff for everything!!!!

I had to have a procedure that caused me some anxiety, the staff were brilliant and really put me at ease. Everyone I have met here whether in person or over the phone has been extremely pleasant, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this practice.
