    Nayland surgery is a great practice- reception staff are always helpful. GP’s / nurses are first class. Never rushed so grateful to be with this practice. The only downside is that you now have to go via Creffield main switch board at 5 secs past 8- No 50 in a queue!!!

    Attended surgery with a cough and mucus, no attempt for examination, advised to take anti allergy pills, cough continued sought second opinion in italy as on holiday. Far superior service after tests and examination I was diagnosed with pneumonia and have just finished treatment. What has happened to this once wonderful surgery the deterioration is frightening my 93 year old mother struggles for and appointment and has just given up trying to ring. My medication was wrong giving me pills I did not need with the associated cost, evidently required extra work to correct and I was inconvenient. Things have reversed at nayland the patient used to be priority now it is the doctors and staff.

    To agree with the reviews already left, the centralized telephone service provided by Creffield Medical is not for for purpose. As with previous experiences after waiting for over 20 minutes I am still position 11 in the queue. It is not reasonable to expect patients to wait 30 mins to be able to speak to their local surgery. In future I will drive to the surgery and speak to the excellent, friendly and helpful staff at the Surgery in person. It will be quicker.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are continually reviewing our system and your feedback is important to us. We are currently recruiting more staff to the telephony hub to reduce the wait times. I am pleased you have found the service at Nayland Surgery friendly and helpful.

    For Nayland practice residents, the connection via Creffield Medical Group is a failure. The delay in making contact for simple things like a blood test appointment is seriously inconvenient. It involves an an inconvenient long wait on the telephone to fix a simple appointment and break through the Creffield Road inadequately staffed reception system. The recent failure of the system (meant I had an extra hour trying to fix my appointment) - a clear example of how much care hasn’t been put into getting this right Can we please improve this and consider the outlying patients beyond Colchester.
