    I had a very bad cancer diagnosis and nobody at Monk's Park surgery, where I am a registered patient, seems remotely interested in helping me e.g. GPs writing prescriptions my Oncologist has already given to me - I am asking to switch GPs but don't hold much hope!

    My husband rang the surgery at 8.30am for a telephone appointment. He only had to wait a couple of minutes. Appointment booked for 9.30am . Great service. Thank you

    Been on the phone for nearly half-hour after the opening time for my son who has developed a worrying skin condition just to get told there are no appointments and the doctor can't phone me either no advice no nothing this surgery is a disgrace avoid at all costs

    My late Brother was 92 and had no children or nearby relatives to look after him but he was determined to live his remaining time in his own home. This meant three care visits a day and various health checks and treatments which was difficult for me to organise as I live 100 miles away. However, the Monks Park senior social prescriber was on hand to help with invaluable advice and guidance and generally keep an eye on my Brother which, because of distance, I was unable to do. Even at the end, when he was in hospital and then his final resting care home under the local practice, they still popped in to see him so that he would have a visitor. Thank you so much. What would he or I done without you.

    Prescribed ear drops but after pointing out and saying a known allergy is on my medical records why I was issued a prescription containing known allergy? It burnt my ears. Why wasn’t it flagged up? Not happy about this

    I came over automatically to this Practice from Helios and at first was going to change as it is a fair drive to get there. But i am staying! The reasons? The Receptionists are so nice and friendly, it makes a world of difference to have smiley, friendly receptionists to talk to, and the GPs i have seen have been attentive, caring, pro active and very approachable. Thank you for running such an excellent practice.

    I called for help as I am really unwell with I think a chest infection and I am asthmatic. I told the doctor I was unable to drive because I was feeling dizzy. The response was ‘can you get a taxi’ in this climate I'm to get a taxi? Because I said no she wouldn’t help me. I am really struggling where I feel so unwell and no one will help me. I am disgusted.

    I can wholeheartedly recommend this great practise. It’s like the hood old days ! I was with Helios, Stoke Bishop and moved here when they closed. I was very dubious to begin with and it’s a good twenty minute drive. It is worth every minute and plenty more. Appointments always available. I feel cared for and safe with a complicated medical history. The reception team, nurses and doctors all really try their best and are incredibly pleasant . The extra mile !

    Due to the lift being broken the Dr found a downstairs vacant room because I cannot climb stairs. From then on it was a whirlwind of a consultation both physical and verbal. Twice I asked the Dr to please show down. The questions were fired at me. You'd think they had a train to catch. The Dr did not even sit down but stood up throughout. . I've never experienced such a rushed appointment and I came out feeling unhappy. I hope this was a one off. It was my 1st face2face at this surgery. Receptionists and phone consultations have been very good. Shame the Dr let the side down. Then when I came for a face-2-face with a Nurse last month similar thing happened rushed throughout the appointment and she came over stressed. Certainly elevated my BP! Such a shame as I transferred from Mendip Vale, Worle and never had a bad time in 6 years as a patient and during Covid. They were excellent.
