Review titled Very rude receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been going to this surgery for a while. Sadly one of the new receptionist has appalling customer service and breaches data protection regularly. This recpetionist will read out your personal medical history that she has access to whether you have asked her to do so or not. She will also ignore your request and do what she thinks you need even though she is not a doctor. When corrected she goes on defence mode. She requires training on ICOs rules on data protection and customer personal information and also customer service training. Many patients have complained about her verbally but I think it needs to be logged here, too. she will ask you for information that she does not need and that which is only available to the doctor. she is just terrible and had no problem humiliating patients by disclosing their medical conditions as loudly a possible when it is not relevant to the patient's query whilst in the reception area full of other patients. This particular receptionist is has shoulder length brown/auburn hair and wears glasses. she is an older lady. it is as if she likes to control what patients do and ignores what they have requested. I suspect that she has antagonised patients who do not have as a calm temperament as I do. I suspect at some point someone will report the surgery to the ICO for repeated data breaches and disclosure of patients' private records.
