  1. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Joined over 20 years ago and have always received excellent service. Currently find Reception helpful & friendly; Doctors available for appointments and/or telephone assistance; same for Nurses; Pharmacy & Phlebotomy. Unfortunately have multiple health problems and feel so fortunate that I have Mountwood supporting me. Saw doctor early May and asked to have X-ray and a blood test - awaiting results via booked call early this week with doctor to determine treatment and medication. Very quick & very thorough service.

Upon receiving a phone call from the receptionist, I saw the GP for consultation. She gave me her sound explanation on my conditions and suggested I would receive an appointment from Mount Vernon Hospital.

Had a recent appointment with Dr and she made me feel really listened to. The practice goes above and beyond. Would be great to have more online access for things open longer throughout the day for people who work but I understand why this isn't the case. Would recommend this practice to anyone in the area. Thank you to all GPs, nurses and admin staff for making it a wonderful surgery

I was pleased was receiving a text message after I had booked my appointment. Staff and the nurse were very courteous and friendly both on the phone and during my appointment in the surgery. Not only with the above but also with their knowledge with my medical issues. Thank you Mountwood GP Service for all your help.

Have great confidence in all doctors at this surgery. They have always given good advice. Am willing to recommend them to friends and family living in this district. Had trouble with my right knee, where an ointment was recommended which helped me overcome the problem

  6. Review titled Good practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The surgery is usually very good in giving appointments to see doctors personally but there are time when one is referred to go elsewhere (uxbridge/ruislip etc) . This is not helpful when one is not well in the first place and don't drive. I think this can be improved if the question was asked. However, i had an appointment to day after a long time and the issue was addressed well.

  8. Review titled Disappointing and Upsetting experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had to convert my private HRT prescription to NHS prescription, which i was told will take upto 5 working days. However this took over a month to do so. That is not the only thing when i was calling and asking very politely about it I was told if I am in a hurry I should get it privately since i have done it before. The whole reason i had to go privately, even when it was expensive is because i was not getting any help or support about menopause with surgery. Everytime i would receive a link to read and decide for myself on symptoms, care and medicine. I was very disappointed and upset when i was told not to keep calling and go get the medication again provately. The lady who spoke to me was very abrupt and firm, the tolerance policy note which is marked everywhere in the surgery should apply to the staff too. I had no choice but to get my medication privately even second time. Finally it was sorted after almost 6 weeks. I feel these receptionists are passive bullies who can speak to patients abruptly (almost rudely), rushing them (not patient), firmly (too assertively) but patients I am sure are too affraid to complaint :-( There was no consistency in what i was being told about the query. Initially i was told i need to feel out a form, which was not the case. then i was informed it will be 5 working days, again which was not the case. Nobody could tell me excatly what was going on plus given the time it was taking, no one picked up the phone to tell me what was going on. there were so much back and forth and unless i looked at my NHS app I would have had no idea that they had a query with it. Again all the questions were not asked at the same time, it was one at a time which obviously took way too long and i had to get my medicine privately again. It is not cheap my desperation to go private should not have been taken as a priviledge to tell me that go private again:-( I am really disappointed and upset about the whole experience.

  9. Review titled Amazing GP Practice

I had a consultation recently and it was a very positive experience. The GPs are very professional, caring, they listen to me, they are very patient and give me their time. The GP looked at my record and discussed the best way forward. I am lucky that we have an amazing GP surgery in our area. Seeing a GP there can be compared to a consultation with a consultant!

  10. Review titled Very reactive

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karen tanner - Posted on 28 January 2025

I am asthmatic and I caught the latest virus which went straight to my chest. My peak flow was down to 180. I sent an early request and they triaged me within 1 hour and called me with an appointment at one of their sister surgeries that morning. Treatment received and a dash to A and E averted.
