Review titled Frustrating online access!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 June 2023
I have been with this GP practice for over 30 years and until the introduction of the newer version of the online service, have been very happy with the health care provided...including today's, thank you. However the online access is very off putting and has no logical /obvious pathway to follow when querying prescriptions, regular medications, whether they are repeat ones or not. Maybe it's just teething problems but as family members have had similar issues in recent weeks I do think an tech person needs to look at the it with patient queries in mind and make it clearer. Finally, the receptionists have all been very pleasant and helpful but waiting to get through can take over an hour nowadays....probably as the receptioni are filling in the online access for others who are having difficulties for themselves; first hand experience here!. Plus booking appointments ahead is well nigh impossible on line. I've reverted to calling in the surgery thus joining the queue snaking out the door, as more folks seem to be doing!? From conversations with patients from other Modality surgeries I get the impression that these are similar concerns and dissatisfaction with the provider across Keighley...something that needs addressing...

Dear Kevin I am sorry to see that you have struggled to contact the Practice via the telephone. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our telephone lines and our care navigation team has been working very hard to answer calls under the additional pressure. I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience. Kind regards Patient Experience Team

I went to the surgery and changed my details. Great. Got on the kilminy site. OK. Logged in. OK. All I need to do is see someone so I can get repeat prescription service back up. Nope. Don't go out and make a service that confuses. I am now under the West Yorkshire AAA screening and right now but all OK I'm under them. But to book a review of prescriptions it's actually a joke. And no I will not wait on a phone for 2 hours and get told there are no more positions left

Review titled You're just another number, awful practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

They have zero intent to help, pushing everyone to a website is absolutely pathetic, you use it and they ignore you for a week when your medication runs out in 4 days... They tell you to give them a few days and still ignore. They should be fined heavily for what they're doing to people, Modality ruined the GPs in Keighley.

Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 April 2023
I am appalled at the inability to be able to see a doctor when you have a medical condition that requires advice or maybe even treatment. I rang at 8am to be met with a message asking me to ring after 11am when it is quieter which I did. Only to be met with a call back option which I took. Over two hours later I received a call only to be told there were no emergency or pre bookable appointments left as it was too late in the day (Not when I rang at 8am it wasn't). I was then advised to do the same the next day! Really? To be told the same thing? All of this is bad enough but to be having to do this while working full time as a teacher is impossible. I cannot just leave the classroom to take a call from the doctors! Therefore, I have had to wait until the students are on holiday to stand any chance of getting sorted out. Let's hope the 'new service',which is just the same as the old service (that worked) later this month when you can call in to make an appointment will make things easier for those who genuinely need to see a doctor.
