  1. Review titled The best practice in the North West

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 May 2025

The doctor spoke to me on the phone to discuss my pain and what medication would help. We decided on a trial of a new drug and I have to give it time. The doctor was kind and sympathetic.

  2. Review titled Never get into the app on time

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 May 2025

Every single time i arrive at the surgery i wait around 25-40 minutes to actually get into the appointment because they are always behind. Quite frankly this is a joke. I like many others work the same or similar hours that the surgery is open therefore i have to book appointments during my lunch breaks. If i book an appointment at a certain time i expect to be in within 5 minutes of the original booking time. Wasting nearly 40 minutes to get into the appointment to then have to rush back to work. Maybe you should send a message on the nhs app that appointments are running late and to come at a later time. This would stop people wasting time, also no signal in the surgery so i cant text or call my manager to let them know im going to be late!! Sort it out

Dear Patient, Unfortunately due to posting anonymously, I am unable to look into your attendance at the centre to offer an explanation for the delays you experienced. eg: time you checked in, time you were called in and time that you left. Appointments are 10 mins however, we do give each patient the time they need dependent upon clinical need / urgency. We could not guarantee that you will be seen within 5 minutes of arrival. We have recently changed the appointment system and we do now offer later appointments for those that work so you could try booking one of those slots for any future appointments Unfortunately due to the location of the centre, a mobile signal cannot be guaranteed however, anywhere near the window areas is much better or the main doors. If you wish to contact me at the practice, I will happily look into the appointment that you refer to and see if anything could have been done to alter the outcome. Kind Regards, Alison Wallace Managing Partner.

  3. Review titled Fantastic Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

We are quick to moan and groan but it’s good to leave positive when it’s deserved. All the admin team and reception staff are kind, helpful and professional, nothing is too much trouble. Of late I have had consultations with the Dr, ANP and the Practice Nurse. The listened to my problems and did what then needed to do to help me. They are so approachable, professional and caring. You never feel rushed or brushed off. I would like to say thank you to all the team.

  4. Review titled Breaking down bartiers

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susanne - Posted on 05 April 2025

I attended with my daughter who has social issues and was very frightened. The doctor took the time to allow her to get to her problem and validated her thoughts. She has organised some help which she is going to try to engage with. It did take some time to coax out of her the real situation which is real progress for my daughter. It also made me feel like we could be turning a corner in that my daughter does not feel stupid for thinking the way she does Thank you so much for being such a wonderful gp and practice. As always joined up thinking in the care

My husband went to see the junior doctor no real symptoms ( Greek name) sent him for a scan and within two weeks. Something was found, not life threatening but if left it could be.

  6. Review titled An amazing space with kind and lovely staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Joanne Barker-Marsh - Posted on 04 April 2024

Going to the doctors never felt quite like this! The new building that the practice shares is nothing short of amazing. The space feels calm and easy to navigate, it also feels like so much more than a medical practice. I feel that the thought put into the design and service provision is excellent, it shows that they care about the future as much as the present. It’s so easy to park if you’re driving, and cannot fault the accessibility at all. The space feels clean, comfortable and very reassuring. The staff are so lovely. They are welcoming and overall what struck me was that the caring attitude is consistent no matter who you encounter. I really felt valued and my son felt listened to and considered, which is not easy to achieve with a teenage boy! They cover so much in the practice, from preventative healthcare to community inclusion and that is really encouraging. I would highly recommend Milnrow Village Practice to anyone who wants to feel that their healthcare matters, because here, I believe it does. We have seen the nurse practitioner and nurse here and both gave us time, care and space. They took care of our needs brilliantly.

Milnrow village practice never ceases to amaze me, the professionalism runs throughout the surgery, from cleaners to receptionists, nurses and doctors, I honestly can’t fault it! I feel confident in my treatment every time I go, Everytime I need an appointment I get one straight away, my concerns are always addressed, my only problem is why I never moved to milnrow village practice sooner. Sterling effort from all involved. Highly recommended, the best practice I’ve ever been to. :-)

  8. Review titled Rude receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 September 2023

I am support worker and I use Milnrow Village Practice to book and appointments or find out important information about vulnerable adults I support. One of receptionists is extremely rude, making inappropriate comments and having a bad attitude when you try to book, rearrange appointments or find out information you need yo do your job properly. I was not sure about something and said that I am sorry I was a bit confused and been told: yes, you are very confused with a tone I didn't like. The receptionist wanted to finish the phonecall after I said I have another query I wanted to speak about and was talking over me. The practice itself is good however I find it difficult to work with receptionist and it puts me off to ring there, thank you

I appreciate that you left your review some time ago now and you are unlikely to remember the date and time of the call. I wish to reassure you that it is extremely rare to receive such feedback about our reception team. They have been highly trained across many years and have been with the practice for a rather long time. It is extremely rare to receive any negative feedback regarding our reception team I can only say that should you feel like this in the future, please call me and I can listen to the call in question. I hope that since your review, you have been happy with your contacts with us. Kind Regards Alison Wallace Managing Partner
