    Recently had a back problem, spent 9 hours in A and E, told to ask my GP for additional pain relief to what I had. I rang 6 times over the next two days, even made an appt with 111 to get a telephone appt. Only received text messages. Point blank refused to prescribe any additional pain meds, ( via text) I was unable to get out of bed. Not once has a GP rang me but they managed a repeat prescription and sicknote without even speaking to me. Surely Employers wouldn't be happy with this? I have made a complaint and am still awaiting the outcome. I have changed GP's but cannot start until the 24/ 7. Millgate's response was to lock my online account and I have to call in the surgery to get it unlocked so I am working off fingers crossed I don't get any worse. A disgraceful way to conduct business. I should have read the reviews and taken heed, trying to speak with a GP here is like trying to speak with a celebrity. Do not sign on at this surgery if you expect to speak with a GP either by phone or face to face. I have been with them for less than a year and this is the first time I have needed a doctor, I have seen the nurses and they are very pleasant but if you need a GP go to your nearest casualty or walk in centre.

    We are very sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the service at our practice. If you have sent in a complaint you should have received an acknowledgement within 48hrs, the practice will then investigate your complaint thoroughly which can take some time before getting back to you with a full response. We continue to always try to improve our services and have seen a significant increase in our review ratings over the last 12 months however we know that we can always improve which is why we take concerns very seriously. Many of our patients prefer for us to contact them digitally however over 65% of our patient appointments are face to face.     A couple of weeks ago I had to put in a repeat prescription and the normal maximum turnaround is 48 hours. As I have to live in two places, I had to go back to Bury on Day 2 of the turnaround so I went into the Ann Street site to see if it was ready. It hadn't been done yet owing to the fact that it was still within the 48 hour turnaround period and the surgery clearly had a lot of prescriptions to deal with which I felt was fair enough. However, this practice exceeded my expectations once again. When I explained to the receptionist that I had called in on my way to Bury, not only did they find my repeat prescription request, they asked the person who normally does prescriptions to ask if there was anything they could do. I was astounded as the person concerned came to the reception window and said if I could wait a few minutes, they would get the Duty Doctor to sign it off. This meant I got my medication before I went back to Bury, This was, yet again, an example of the excellent service from this practice.

    I needed an urgent prescription tbe other week and as it was a Thursday, I knew the surgery would be open until 8pm. I rang about 6.15pm. It didn't take long to get through and the receptionist was very helpful and understanding when I explained my predicament. The Duty Doctor rang me back within 5 minutes and I picked up my prescription at 7.30pm, and was then able to get my much-needed medication from a lat-night chemist. Once again, I find myself very impressed by the service I received. Thanks, once again, Millgate Health Partnership for exceeding my expectations.

    I felt one of my prescription medications wasn't working as well as it used to so I raised this in the comments section of the repeat prescription request section of the NHS app. A few days later I received a text message with an appointment to see a GP in one weeks time. The GP discussed my symptoms with me, gave me some options & together we decided on my treatment going forward. Sorted!!! Thank you Millgate.

    Fed up being bombarded with e mails re a online medication review. filled it in 3rd May, had a e mail reply to that effect, and then another 8 e mails to complete the review! Wonder how many more I am going to get? Makes you wonder why does this medical practice not know what medication I am on anyway? don't they look at my medical records?

    Surgery left a message for my father on 18th May. Ring Surgery, I am his carer he is 84. I have tried three times now and held on 15mins on each occasion. This isn't a one off, it is all the time. Wants a decent manager.

I have been managing the surgery since August last year and have continued to try and improve access to the surgery. You can also contact us online using the administrative form if this is helpful.     Want to book a PSA test, information says use NHS app that says unavailable, go back to direct contact that directs to a third party then says unavailable can't even book my statind prescription. Need to move to a better practice before this one kills me.

    Thank you for your feedback. You can make an appointment via our online form or by telephone. I have checked the link on our website to the NHS App information and it does appear to work, you need to go to download the NHS App on your telephone and you can then order your repeat prescriptions this way. Our admin form is open during normal practice hours, you need to scroll to 'I have an admin query' as the online appointments can close earlier due to demand. We usually delivery over 13,000 appointments and deal with over 11,000 telephone calls per month. We're sorry that you have not had a good experience this time and hope this improves in the future for you.

    Reception staff are helpful and polite at times. Some doctors are good, some bad. I have been passed from doctor to doctor. What happened to the days when you had one doctor and you developed a rapport with them. To make matters worse one of the doctors doesn’t even see me as his regular patient but makes judgments about myself and I have seen this in my clinical record. Speaking of my clinical record, it is no longer available to view through the NHS app despite legislation stating patients should have access. And when I have had access to my clinical record it is missing diagnoses etc. Furthermore, one of my friends is with the practice and she is treated far differently than I am, with help with letters of support. Instead I’m treated as though I’m a nuisance.

We are sorry to read that you feel that you have not had regular contact with a GP, we will always try our best to ensure continuity however depending on demand and availability this is sometimes challenging. All patients have a right to access their notes and a request for your notes can be made to the surgery however digital access is not fully available as yet. The BMA have advised practices not to make this available until there are further guarantees around the safety of this process.     Rang this morning, was left with the recorded message for 30 minutes , then a short message we are extremely busy please ring back later.....why for more music on hold? Will have to go out in bad weather to get my prescription renewed..
