    I returned from a long haul flight (2 flights 24 hours in total) over the weekend which left me significant leg pain. All symptoms pointed to DVT so tried to contact my GP at 8am Monday morning for an emergency appointment. I eventually got through at 9ish & was told someone would come back to me. I got a text message at 10.30 saying I could have a phone consultation at 2.45…. For a DVT…. If the clot moved it could have been life threatening. I went to A&E who recognised the severity of my situation & dealt with me straight away. 10 out of 10. If you are reading this review and have an alternative practice to register with, I urge you to do so.

    I would just like to highlight my treatment from the GP that delt with my issue. I was fast tracked onto the urologist at Tameside Hospital, who diagnosed my problem Very quickly. I can't express how grateful I am to the The Practice, for their concern and efficiency. Regards A Pickering.

    I was booked in to have blood’s taken, I got to the surgery 10 minutes before my appointment, after 10 minutes I noticed people coming in after me where getting seen to but not me, I ask the receptionist was I booked in, she said I was, after a further 10 minutes, I used the toilet, when I came out I asked the receptionist has my name be called she said no, I find it hard to believe that some thing as easy as taking blood’s can cause such a a long delay , perhaps a course on time management might help the staff here, I had no choice but to leave as I start work at 7 o’clock, so by the time I got to work I had already lost half a day, the doctor was adamant I had to have bloods before I went away, just poor service all round

    Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately sometimes clinicians run can over the allocated appointment time if they are dealing with a particularly complex patient issue, or if a patient has taken poorly during the consultation. We did have multiple clinics on on the morning in question so it may have been patients were being called in to see different clinicians. The staff do work very hard to try and keep to appointment times, but unfortunately we can never predict how long each appointment is going to take. We do have access to extended access appointments which may be more convenient for you for next time. We can book appointments at the Hub in the evenings and at weekends. We apologise if you felt your experience at the Practice was inefficient. The Practice now has a new Practice Manager and we have recruited more permanent clinicians and Reception staff, so we hope this will improve the overall patient access and experience. Thank you

    The staff on Reception at this Practice are very helpful and pleasant. It is straightforward to get an appointment and the staff do their best to be helpful. It is very nice to be able to go to the Surgery and speak to people face to face. The Doctor's and Nurses are always pleasant, helpful and efficient. I hope this Practice remains the same. Thank you.

    Called surgery at 8.00am. The call was answered within 3 minutes and I was offered a same-day face-to-face GP appointment. As always, excellent service.

    My husband has been trying to get an appointment for over a week. He has been in agony at times. You just cannot get through - I was 11th in the queue and after 10 minutes of waiting was still 11th - that was today at 8.10 - it was engaged before then. This service is extremely distressing for those trying to get an appointment.

    Been on the phone 2 and half hours trying to get through with only 9 in the queue, impossible to get an appointment if you work as latest go appointment is 4.30, nurse told Me she was worried as My blood pressure is so high and I need to start medication and need to see a doctor , unable to get an appointment with doctor until end of October even then I’m in work so would need to take time off which isn’t good , staff are so unhelpful , out of hours never answer their phone, have same issues every single time , feel I need a doctor by the time I come Off the phone to these

    Impossible to get an appointment, and the advice is to go to the walk in centre, if you manage to get an appointment it’s only a phone appointment. Surgery is slow to do anything, taken over a week just to sign a prescription sent by a specialist, we have chased and told the doctor will do it. Our sons health and well being is suffering at the hands of this appalling practice.

    Never had such appalling manner! I have email to the practise (she might read and deleted) all she going to do is to build an argument! My advise if you cant work or hand pressure of workload go home take a rest! I am are patience here not to argue after i describe my symptoms! Conversation over the phone was today 11/08/2022 at 1726 by Female practise nurse!! I am fumming!
