We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with a text message advising you of a telephone call that did not take place at the specified time. All feedback helps us understand what we are doing right and where we can make improvements, and your feedback allows us to do just that. We are pleased to see that despite the text message stating a call would take place before 1pm, the doctor did call and consult with you closer to 3pm later that same afternoon. We trust you are happy with the telephone consultation that took place in the afternoon of 1st April, and apologise this was later than we had advised you originally.     I used Anime to report that I had a suspected UTI. I was called within the hour by a nurse practitioner and discussed my symptoms. She said I would be prescribed anti-biotics and would need to put in a urine sample, which I did the same day. I spite of the fact that I have had a number of UTI's in the last few months there was no follow up. I would have expected a call to see if the Anti-Biotics had worked? Was I still experiencing pain? Had the issue of frequency and urgency resolved itself? But nothing heard even after test results available.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your recent contacts with the practice and lack of follow up. All feedback helps us understand what we are doing right and where we can make improvements, and your feedback allows us to do just that. From review we can see you consulted with one of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) and were prescribed antibiotics based on your presenting symptoms. We can also see you were instructed to bring a urine sample to the practice prior to starting you antibiotics. We can see from the consultation notes, you were appropriately safety netted, and advised to contact the practice back if your symptoms did not improve, or worsened despite taking your course of antibiotics. Your insight is appreciated and if you have any further concerns, please do let us know. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this feedback, and do recognise that not being followed up has caused you concerns.     The doctor provided a comprehensive assessment. Covering a number of issues and putting in appropriate time to enable several worrisome symptoms were identified and appropriate steps to start addressing these.

    Out of hospital, after home visit - referred to district murse - terrible, bad communication. Returned to surgery when mobile (and late), highlands nurse was brilliant, a joy to visit.

    The one thing letting the practice down is making an appointment. Anima is not fit for purpose and you can only schedule routine appointments at specific time. I logged on before 8 and kept going in to ensure I could access an appointment and the circle goes round and by the time you get in the appointments are gone. I did this for 10 working days. I gave up and phoned the receptionist who was lovely and I had a speedy appointment. This process really is a risk to vulnerable people.

We acknowledge your frustrations with access to appointments and a limited number of online consultations that are available. So that we can provide safe and effective care for our patients, as well as looking after the health and wellbeing of our staff, we have a predetermined limit of online medical requests that can be submitted via Anima for both routine and urgent medical advice. For reassurances around Anima not being fit for purpose, in the past six months, our patients have submitted close to 6,500 medical requests online without contacting us in person or by phone. For clarity, patients who cannot use Anima to contact us online can contact us by telephone or in person as was standard service before we introduced online communications. For more information about how we offer access to appointments, please visit www.meonhealthpractice.co.uk/appointments/ Despite these frustrations, we are delighted to hear of your positive experience with our lovely receptionist and speedy appointment and we will ensure this is shared with our staff.
