Needed medication for Monday after the weekend but having to go abroad to see my son for a week from tomorrow as lives with mother. So need medication early today and prescribed immediately without any problems . Unlike old practice at Hart Medical Center Hartlepool who would never of done this as had to postpone twice seeing my son due to this problem. Great practice Great service Thanks Martonside

Treated my very poorly 94 years old mother in law with patience, professionalism and empathy. Nothing was too much trouble. From receptionists, tests, community services, to home visits. She is now fit and well thanks to you guys.

  3. Review titled cant get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

Reception tell you to call at 8 a.m. to get appointments but phone is always constantly on busy tone at that time. If you get through at 9 a.m. they tell you it is too late. They are now only making on-the-day appointments and on phone only so if you need to speak to a particular doctor you need to first find what day they are in, then hope you are one of the lucky few who get through that day. Doctors are great if ever you can get to talk to them. I was asked to make an appointment following a scan that I see is abnormal but I have given up trying. All my repeat meds have also been put on hold pending a review with doctor. National life expectancy is going to plummet if this is the new normal.

  4. Review titled A disgrace

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have never known a more unhelpful GP practice. Receptionists are rude and think they wear the stripes - they make arbitrary decisions with no consultation with the doctor. Their stock answer is to call 111 without having listened the problem and immediately reply that they can’t help. My father who is registered there has been taken into a dementia care home about .5 miles from his home address and needs some medical attention - they said it was too far to travel. Absolutely outrageous and uncaring attitude. I am appalled.

  5. Review titled Joke.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I work in care and deal with many gps this has got to be the least helpful service I’ve used. Trying to get an appointment is almost impossible and the only help and advice they give is ring 111. Receptionists are rude and are aware your stood waiting but are talking in the back room. Terrible service and make healthcare look like a joke!

  7. Review titled Poor People Skills

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Reception: Can be either 'hot or cold'. Usually come over as indifferent and appear irritated that you're ringing. Deliberately unhelpful and vague. Need reminding that pinging the surgery nowadays is stressful. Martonside receptionists need training in People-skills.

  8. Review titled Receptionist is awful!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Receptionist is probably one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken too. All I wanted was a repeat prescription and was given attitude from the start. Was told I had to come in to fill in a form. So I went to the surgery, got no help from the receptionist. When I asked to check what I had done was right she huffed, went and inputted what I had requested and then through the form in the bin and just said done in a confrontational way. There was absolutely no need for me to travel all the way to the surgery when that was all she needed to do. Absolutely appalling behaviour from someone working face to face with people.
