Review titled Waiting times to see Doctor
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 May 2025
I believe that appointments are to long with patients to book to see percifficate Doctors for as long as 4/5 weeks waiting to get to see your own Doctor , There's other Doctors you can see i 1/2 days , so why can you not spread appointments in no longer waiting upto only 2 weeks , as I myself had to wait 5 weeks to see my Doctor , when the appointment came around the illness for what I booked appointment for was healed, so after waiting 4 out of the 5 weeks to wait I cancelled , you shouldn't have such a long wait to see a Doctor who's been thereselves been helping a patient through sensitive illnesses, like I said above patients will except a waiting time of 2 weeks to see a doctor , but 5 weeks is really unacceptable, as I've visited my relatives with a town I'd say bigger than Market Drayton and an ill person walks in and sees there patients all who ring and go into see an Doctor , and there's I'd say half of the Doctors seeing there patients daily , than in Market Drayton so needs someone to organise and sort the Surgery out as there's no organisation that's works in the better and more efficient way , receptionist s have to leave there seats to find information they don't know or understand but have a senior that's trained to a higher level to be able to take the patient to 1 side and give answers to the question that receptionist don't fully no, and kept receptionist in there chairs to help patients booking in in a more efficient way and so the doctors won't as they do now fid there own jobs being stressful seeing the lists of patients booked in to see any certain Doctor and then ends up ill themselves and end up with a sickness and have to stay off work then a more patients pilled on another Doctors days ahead and has to start with all over with the patients of the Doctor who had to be absent from his very important job s , But the Doctors are people who are like patients who suffer also with stress a mental illnesses to they are Humen them selves ,and the other needs to work quicker than normal with his own patients and possible to then suffer themselves with stress and mental illnesses , that's possible why there's now always patients a Doctors suffering even more, Thak you for reading and like other patients to agree with me

Review titled How long does it take
Rated 1 star out of 5

Phoned around 1300, "closed at the moment ,phone back. Phoned back at about 14.30 and eventually talked to someone, explaining my situation. I was then told to keep my phone line free for a call. Do I not phone anyone for 2, 3 ,4 hours because it might be inconvenient ? I know things are busy but please get a grip on reality and that you are dealing with people, they have lives too and are not just a number to be dictated to.

Review titled Sometimes need help
Rated 1 star out of 5

Had catheter remived 15th Jan it was noticed that I had oedema in my left leg, saw dictor and sent for urgent scan in Telford. 16th Jan was told no DVT. Contacte practice 17th Jan and told as this was just a follow up I had to make a future appointment 30th Jan offerred. As I am going into the QE for a serious operation around 5th February and will be on a strict diet before then I need to know if medication I need to be prescribed after the catheter removal affects my preparation for the operation. Pushed this point when asking for an appointment, made no difference Feel badly let down by the practice approach to my health. This could/might be serious, I need to know earlier thn the end of January.

At 10.05 am on Friday 26th April I was in marketdrayton medical practice . I over heard reception staff booking appointments for 2 people 3-4 week waiting time . I like to know why this is when there was nobody in doctors waiting area can someone from the practice explain this to me or are we just to think they take the xxxx out of all there patients. Looking forward to seeing the explanation for this .

Review titled Very poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mr sad - Posted on 28 March 2024
My partner rang this morning she has a sty on her eye lid she was told by a unqualified receptionist that they don't deal with eye problems for the second time. Go to the opticians for help as before there not happy about this . I use a different GPS practice and they say if she was a patient there they would help to sort it out for her marketdrayton medical practice is very inadequate and the service is very poor . They hide in that big building and a unqualified member of staff turns patients away joke .

over the last few years when trying to get through to staff it always takes over 1/2 an hour this is no where near good enough. it seems they dont have enough staff to cover and keep waiting times down. getting appointments in a few days also seems impossible
