I have a 5 month old baby that is really ill she has bronchiolitis and she is struggling really bad with her cough. Many times I have tried to get her into doctors even had my aunt be on the phone from 7am to 9am this morning and the doctors are still saying they have no appointments left every single time I ring up or go in early to book appointments it’s the same thing over and over agian it’s either them saying they have no appointments left or they recommend me to go into a walk in centre that’s far away from me or a&e. my baby got so ill that we had to go to a&e because they had no appointments left as usual. That doctor at the hospital said that she has bronchiolitis and that they recommend me get a check up for her at the doctors to see how they can treat it. But once again no appointments left there are never appointments left it’s disgusting she’s 5 months old she needs an appointment it’s go the the point when there’s no appointments I go to the nearest pharmacy to get her checked up there and even though it’s not the same as the doctors. I need a proper check up on my 5 month old! Every time I ring up or go in it’s just a disappointment

Been with this GP Practice all my life now nearly retired. Most of the GPs the long standing ones are very good not sure about the newer ones never seen them. No problems referring if neede.

This is my 2nd review of this practice in a year and sadly nothing has changed I had an appointment for today at 2pm (but when I booked on line is was for 1.10 originally then got text message saying 2pm )and I wanted to do the right thing and cancel it because I am not well and can’t make it I pressed 1 to leave my details for cancellation but as I was giving my details it started talking again and giving me more options so I hung up and rang again pressed 0 for call back I was number 1 and half hour later nothing so rang again waited on hold still number 1 for another 20 minutes finally the receptionist answered told her I wish to cancel due to not feeling well didn’t really get much of a response so my point is no wonder people aren’t showing up sometimes for appointments it’s a nightmare trying to speak to someone to cancel

  4. Review titled Superb Practice

The first point of contact is with the receptionists, and they cannot be faulted in any regard. Totally professional, polite and always obliging. The call back system is a much-welcomed facility for patients, as it identifies your number in the queue, you realise the sheer volume of calls the receptionists have to deal with. They are a remarkable hard-working team, and they do not interrogate as to why you need an appointment. I have only met with exceptional professionalism, understanding and kindness from the GPs. There is never a delay in carrying out tests and no hesitation if an ultra sound scan or consultant referral is deemed necessary. The practice nurses are equally to be applauded, down to earth professional caring approach. The GPs are to be congratulated for the service and care given during the COVID lockdown, and for the swift return to face to face appointments. The practice maintains the highest level of hygiene. I consider myself to extremely fortunate to be a patient at such a superb practice, all and everyone involved are to be congratulated .
