I was advised by the prescription nurse at Mansion House to contact the Doctor via their online triage system over a repeat prescription item I have which has been discontinued I have tried 3 times once by t/c and twice by triage messaging and not had a reply I can see within the patient access app that both of my triage messages Have been received But no one has responded Totally un professional and so rude not to have the courtesy to reply

Dear Patient we are sorry to hear of your experience and thank you for your feedback. Would you please be able to contact the Surgery with further details as we are unable to find any details for you. We will then endeavour to rectify this situation. It would be helpful to know if you were given a reference number when you submitted your triage requests, you are asked at the end of the triage whether you want to verify to submit the response. If you could also provide dates and times approximately that you submitted and called and we will investigate.

  2. Review titled They love a text message!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 October 2023

Everything is done by text! How can they safely diagnose and treat without even talking to a patient? Sometimes it takes a whole day of texting to complete something that could have been done In a 5 minute phone call. And if you do get an appointment, it's hardly ever with a doctor. For the first time ever with a GP practice, I'd go as far as to say, sometimes, it doesn't feel safe.

It is key for the patient to put as much relevant detail on the triage form when submitting it. If the clinician feels that anything is missing in order to make an appropriate decision, additional information is requested and a text message is sent, if however if for any reason there are delays in responses or the person has difficulty in responding to text messages then we have General Practice Assistants who would step in and manage this. The GP Assistants are new within practice with the intention of having a patient liaison focus.

  4. Review titled Poor Practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Paul William Carr - Posted on 30 March 2023

Specialist has twice written back to the GP listing follow up GP actions for them. Twice waited a month and no contact from the GP. Called them today and they cant find the letter from the Specialist. They never can!!! You feel like you are the Doctor and they are the patient when you speak to them. Reception staff are rude and incompetant

Having been number 3 in the queue on this date, I was on hold for an hour and I was still only number 1in the queue . Absolutely appallingly service you'd be quicker going into the surgery and still I didn't get an answer.

We have checked our system and it does not indicate that anyone has waited this length of time on a call. We would like to investigate this further so if you could contact the surgery to supply your details we would like to look into this. There may well be a fault that we are unaware of and we would like the opportunity to resolve if necessary. According to our records the average waiting time was 10 minutes yesterday.

We are sorry that you feel that it is impossible to get through on the telephone. We have a monitoring system which allows us to review how long calls are taking to be answered and we endeavour to keep waiting times below 30 minutes. The Mansion House Surgery website (www.mansionhousesurgery.nhs.uk - https://florey.accurx.com/p/M83069) triage link is available from 8am until 4:30pm to submit requests for appointments, medications and general queries without having to speak to someone on the telephone. We hope that this will improve accessibility for patients.

  7. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Triage form is not fit for purpose. The form will be reviewed by a doctor which can be at least 48 hours after filling it in, they will assess if you need to see someone urgently by using information of symptoms & information given 48 hours ago. My appointment was for in 2 weeks. I went to the pharmacy next door who are wonderful, he actually looked at the problem & diagnosed what it was & what prescription I needed urgently unfortunately the pharmacist cant write prescriptions. I went into the surgery & had to fill another triage form in. I therefore have had to self medicate just to relieve the symptoms & of course to try & slow the bacteria down so I dont end up in hospital with complications. The receptionist told me they are struggling to cope with demand as they have 17000 patients to look after & yet as you can see they are advertising that they are taking on more patients when they cant cope with the ones they have got.

  9. Review titled Zero

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having lived in various parts of the country this is the worst practice I have ever had to use. You wait for an eternity before a phone is answered and as for making an appointment. The staff are polite when you eventually manage to speak to one but they can never actually deal with questions. - you are just told to book via a computer. Very very poorly run and certainly not run for the benefit of the patients.Appalled.

Filling in an application form to get an appointment to see a doctor and then realise that the doctors will Diagnose your condition via text message , with even listening to my chest, wow that's some magic powers, is enough for me I'm moving some where else .
