Cannot get intouch about non urgent needs. The contact phone line implores users to use the NHS app or the surgery website to book apps and communicate, leaving the phone lines clear. But the online methods are turned off for much of the day, you can only get intouch in their office hours. This is a contradictory backwards step. It seems they are managing the workload by shutting down communication. Please please use our website, but we have turned it off. What nonsense.

I emailed the gp surgery to say I had started Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH ) injections and was due my second, so needed a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) prescription. The first was given by the hospital. They called to say they hadn’t had the clinical letter from the hospital but would chase. They called back within 30 minutes to say they’d got the letter and I didn’t need to chase the hospital, got them to send to me too and said they’d speak to a doctor. I had a message the next day saying it’s been added to my repeat prescription, been sent to my pharmacy and will need to see them for a 3 month review!
