    I have high blood pressure (178) and now also a pain in my knee. I have called the practice twice and visited reception in person. I kept being referred to patches - which doesn't work. I am registered, but the make a request button is permanently greyed out. I am quite happy to drive to cricklade or putting (who I have been registered with for years and never struggled to get an appointment) but NHS rules say I have to be register at Malmesury. Totally pointless being registered if it is impossible to make an appointment. Calling after 08:00 on a Monday is not a realistic option if you work. I love that patches is meant to make it easier. this must be how Sub Postmasters felt about the Post Office Horizon software !!!

My name is Charlotte Gorman ,and I am the manager here at Malmesbury and responsible for complaints and feedback, which welcome as an opportunity to improve our service. I was so sorry to read you have experienced difficulties making an appointment, and appreciate how frustrating this must have been. We introduced PATCHs in March as an alternative to the 8.00 rush to make a routine appointment. So far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, but obviously there are always teething issues, so please accept my apologies that it hasn’t worked for you. If we can be of any help, please contact us, (info.ghs@nhs.net) and we would be pleased to assist. We are running specific IT drop ins for any patients who are experiencing difficulties with the technology and would be pleased to make an appointment for you if this would be helpful.     This team provides a marvellous service. They recently provided palliative care for a relative of mine. My whole family cannot speak highly enough of the GPs and the wider team. Malmesbury is lucky to have such a great team that can maintain standards in spite of the current NHS difficulties. Well done!
