    At the beginning of November I suddenly developed hearing loss in one ear. I telephoned Luson for an appointment. I saw the senior nurse the next day & she referred me to Musgrove ENT. I was seen by them the following week. I returned yesterday morning for a final injection but was asked to contact my GP urgently regarding a possible side effect! That afternoon, using the NHS website, I submitted a request to Luson for a telephone appointment with my GP. He telephoned me that evening & talked me through my concerns & reassured me as to the ongoing treatment. Brilliant support from all at Luson - & the team at Musgrove ENT!

    Just prior to visiting the surgery, I had an excellent telephone consulation with the practice diabetic nurse, very satisfied. I visited shortly afterwards to ask for assistance with a blocked ear, the nurse advised me that I need suction treatment however, this is provided neither at the surgery nor at any other local NHS facility. I was advised to visit Specsavers or a previously employed nurse now offering this service privately, either of which will require payment. In the meantime, I must insert ear drops in both ears for up to 3 weeks, which would render me totally deaf in both ears for an extended period. When I asked for any other alternatives I was met with a shrug of the shoulders.......I have previously received successful irrigation treatment at this surgery, what is going on? Not acceptable
