    If there was any GP close to me I would transfer. It has been hellish. They do not answer the phones if they do, they do they won’t give you an appointment anyway. Their phones keep on disconnecting or they must be doing it on purpose.

    I called the surgery and spent 20 minutes on the phone waiting to make an appointment today. I eventually got through and managed to arrange a telephone consultation at 1.45 this afternoon. At 2.45 and having still not received my consultation, I called the surgery again. After waiting 40 minutes my call was answered, although no explanation was provided as to why I hadn’t received my call. Come on Lovemead Group Practice, get a grip!!!

    I am delighted with this surgery, very professional, caring and great to be a patient with. I was particularly impressed that lots of other people feel the same when on a Trowbridge community website a new resident was asking which surgery was the best and nearly all said Lovemead. Thank you so much for being a place I can trust and feel safe and looked after, you are all simply lovely!

    Tried to get an appointment, you can only use phone system, I'm really unwell and when I press 1, the message after this is, Phone lines are extremely busy, please try again later and cut off. Can never get appointment.

    This place used to be amazing. The nurses are still great and the receptionists are helpful and friendly. But, they have changed their booking system which means you can only get an appointment within 7 days & have to call everyday to see if any appointments are available in the next 7 days and if you are time restricted (evening appointments) it’s pretty much a no-go in all areas. The call line is always huge and takes on average 40 mins to get through, which just doesn’t work when you’re working. So getting a regular appointment is pretty impossible. Their online booking system, which I used to use, no longer has all appointments on so again you have to try & call. I gather if you’re really sick you can get to see someone, but routine appointments & consults are non-existent. I don’t know if they are short-staffed or if there is a failing in the system, great service if you can get through, and if there is an appointment, which is unlikely.

    I tried multiple times calling the surgery throughout the day to set up a schedule but their phones only said try again later. Finally placed on hold and got a person on the other line only to be advised I cannot schedule an appointment

    In the last month I've had to contact the surgery 3 times for my children and on each time the level of care and service has been amazing, from the receptionist who has been kind and caring to the doctors/emergency nurses who have given an excellent amount of care. Each time I phoned at 8:30 which kept me in a queue for short time, but expected at that time of the morning. Thank you for your excellent care under the current pressures you have provided an excellent service and should be praised for your hard work. Wishing you all the best for 2023

    Roundstone have taken good care of my family both before, during and after the pandemic. My son was assessed and referred quickly during the pandemic for a suspicious lump which thankfully turned out not to be cancer. My other son has a long term condition and repeat medication prescribing is always straight forward via the online service. I’ve experienced mental health problems and have always found the surgery team to be helpful by triaging the urgency of the problem and sorting out the right resolution be that an appointment to speak to someone on the day, a sicknote, a message to a GP or a repeat prescription. The clinical team are excellent. The receptionists have a tough job. Do they ask awkward questions? Yes. Do I answer them? Also yes, because it helps them to help me. Do I have to contact them 3-4 times to be held in a queue for 45 minutes to speak to someone? Yes. Do I mind doing this? No. It’s a free service in demand from thousands of people. Have our prescriptions occasionally disappeared into the ether with no trace? Yes. Do I leave them a one star review and rant on socials about it? No. I phoned them, explained the situation and they retrieved the prescription and sent it to the correct pharmacy. Don’t believe the rhetoric and one star reviews. Help them to help you by being patient and respectful. I would recommend this surgery and continue to entrust them with looking after me and my family.
