Truly awful Practice. Writing on behalf of my wife who is barely able to walk with arthritis in her ankle. She has tried on two occasions this week to book an appointment and on both occasions waiting over an hour and a half to get through. Receptionist refused G.P. call back instead offering a call from a Paramedic which is utterly useless as this has been done before with no success The Receptionist was rude and condescending on the calland offered no resolution / apology at all. Issues such as this arise from the top down indicating a poorly led Practice, I.e. with the lead G.P. My Wife now has limited options but it is us likely we will need to go down the private route for treatment this condition

I booked a telephone appointment summer last year 2022 (approx 4 week wait) but did not receive a call back after waiting all day. Telephoned at 08:00 am this morning (28 Feb 2023) to book an appointment was 17 in queue but disengaged after 45 minutes of constant music. Telephoned again 10:45 am (28 Feb 2023) was 5 in queue next music stopped but then telephone just rang and rang – I guess the administrative staff does not answer the telephone. On one occasion I was in the surgery, telephone was ringing and ringing I heard member of administrative staff say turn it off 'then silence'

Called them to book a face to face appointment with my gp (as I have not seen him for 4 years since 2020, although I tried many times) because I had a swollen knee due to sudden cold weather with some oedema in my ankles and to discuss medication adjustments because I was supposed to be followed due to angina/high blood pressure. I was offered a phone call with a paramedic which (do not laugh) told me the swollen knee could be an 's.t.d.' and I had to go to 'e.r'. to get antibiotic... What a joke of 'medical' diagnostic. I have been trying to book a face to face appointment since then and they say to keep trying because gp's are on strike. In the meantime I have been self-medicating. I will soon be moving to other medical centre as this is unaceptable. Appaling experience with Lostock Medical Centre.

It is almost impossible to book an appointment with a GP. Phone service is terrible. It takes forever to take call however no notifications of the waiting number while you are on hold. No point of accepting new admissions if you can not provide service.
