  1. Review titled Left feeling let down, frustrated and worried

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Leah - Posted on 01 May 2025

I feel incredibly let down and frustrated with my gp surgery (Lordshill Health Centre). Since December I’ve been going through a worrying time with my health. I discovered lumps and was initially sent on the wrong investigation pathway meaning I’ve only just had them biopsied. I’m getting other unpleasant & alarming symptoms and these are being considered by my having further investigations. lm still awaiting biopsy results from hospital (from over 2 weeks ago) which I’m told by ultrasound dept that these ought to have been sent to doctor. My gp has expressly told me she needs to see me for a follow up appt in any event & yet when I went to book one yesterday, I was told there simply isn’t one?! The receptionist said there are literally no available slots and I must call back Friday. This isn’t unusual at this surgery but the difference is we’re trying to get to the bottom of these symptoms & I’ve been told expressly by the Dr that I’m to book this follow up. I can’t get in to see my doctor who has requested to see me and this, she requested ought to be face 2 face. The receptionist however said there’s no way I’ll get a face 2 face appt & a telephone appt is likely to be weeks away. All the while I’m left worrying. Receptionist also wouldn’t leave a message and again, said I’m to call back Friday & see if they have any more telephone consultations for coming weeks. It’s absolutely atrocious. When I eventually do get an tel con appt, no doubt, end of May I know I’ll be told I need to be physically seen & I’ll have to go through this again just to get the face 2 face consultation. I’m looking at summer to find out what’s happening and how it can be resolved. It’s absolutely unacceptable.

  2. Review titled Amazing ANP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I can't thank the Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Lordshill Health Centre, enough for the incredible care she provided for our two-year-old son. We were able to get an appointment on the same day, which was such a relief. She is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also fantastic with children. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, including the treatment plan for our son. Her calm and reassuring approach immediately put us at ease, and thanks to her guidance and the inhalers she prescribed, our son is already feeling better. We left the appointment feeling completely reassured. A huge thank you to her for the professional, compassionate care. We're so grateful!

I had an on call appointment, she asked clear questions and guided me through the next steps of my future treatment. She made the whole experience very calming and I thank her for that!

  4. Review titled Fantastic and helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dr Sanjay Jogai - Posted on 04 September 2024

I recently moved into the area and got registered at this surgery. The reception staff were very friendly and the online registration was a breeze. Subsequently I had to get a temporary registration for my mother who was on a visitor's visa. This was done very promptly as well. She has a medical condition which required a few urgent blood tests. The doctors at the surgery ( unfortunately, I am not allowed to name them) as well as the reception staff and the nurse practitioners were super helpful and gave me an early appointment so that the tests could be performed. Thereafter, I even got the result as a text message on the same day. I cannot commend this surgery highly enough and shall forever remain grateful to them for being so helpful during my mother's stay in the UK. I wish other surgeries could take a leaf out of their book! When there is so much negativity surrounding GP practices around the country, Lordshill surgery certainly shines bright! Please keep up the good work, kudos to every member of the surgery :)

  5. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

New to practice have found it easy to access an appointment when needed. As spin off from new patient appointment they have found quite a few things to sort out one of which was lung infection didn't know I had. When I went to previous GP to check if persistent cough was something other than smoking the advice the head nurse gave was to try sucking a sweet and give up smoking so I'm pleased new GP has found cause and is treating it, I am feeling lots better and much of pain has gone

  7. Review titled Excellent patient care

    by Mikaela725 - Posted on 14 May 2023

This GP surgery is getting it right! After hearing many friends and family complain about their GPS at the moment, I honestly cannot fault mine. They have managed to implement a brilliant system since lockdowns where eConsults are easy and responded to quickly, phone lines sometimes have a queue but move very quickly, receptionists are lovely, understanding and explain things considerately. Phone appointments are made easily and face-to-face appointments are offered when needed and are often the same day. Administration and repeat prescriptions are also fast and sent straight to the appointed pharmacy if requested.
