    After a loss of pregnancy GP forgot to put in emergency scans due to extreme pain. missed appointment due to pain was unable to cancel due to morning rush hour phone calls when I got throw at 5pm I was met with a extremely rude receptionist who explained my pain wasn’t her problem I explained my problems and what happened in depth she repeated it wasn’t her problem after trying to talk to her repeatedly to calm the situation I was met with tutting and refused to even see if space was available for me to see a GP or nurse or any practitioner leaving me helpless and alone refused to let me speak to anyone else I have now moved doctors

    Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your feedback. I would like to apologise to you if you feel were treated poorly by a member of our Reception team. Whilst I am sincerely sorry to hear of your situation, I have listened to your telephone call, and I can confirm that our Receptionist remained calm and professional throughout, despite you swearing at her and calling her offensive names. Help and advice was offered, unfortunately you continued to swear and then threatened to come to the Surgery and physically assault the member of staff. This behaviour is not tolerated by the Practice, and you were therefore removed from our Practice list. Practice Manager Longfield Medical Centre

    I’d just like to say thank you to the reception staff and medical team, I had a appointment this week, where I was told I needed to go straight to a& e in a ambulance, I was in a lot of pain and everyone was really caring and helpful- All you get is negative feedback where it’s no one’s fault to the lack of doctors and nurses that no one wants to go into the medical profession- as of the situation with pay etc - you all do amazing job and people need to realise how lucky we are !! for having a nhs where it’s abused from patients who don’t turn up for appointments- do not use their common sense - and will not take responsibility for their own health instead of wanting everything now! once the nhs is no more and you have to pay - people might realise - what may go for ever !! Be Kind to the staff and doctors -

    Really disappointed with Longfield’s yesterday I had a large wood splinter in the bottom of my right foot since Monday and every time I walked it was really painful, hubby did have a go at removing it but to no avail. Yesterday I phoned Longfield’s and asked if I could have a nurses appointment, they said I could only have a telephone appointment !!!!!! True to their word I was phoned back about 4ish by a GP to be told I needed to go to A&E !!!!!!! I was horrified to her that as surely they are aware how under pressure they are and that you should not be going there unless it’s life threatening. No wonder the nhs is so under pressure if drs are sending patients to A&E when all that was needed was a nurses appointment. Finally i made an appointment with a podiatrist in Heybridge for lunchtime today who was excellent and after a few attempts she managed to remove the large splinter along with some puss where my body was already trying to get rid of it. This cost me £40 when all I needed was a appointment with a nurse. Thankfully I am now sorted but someone else may not be able to afford it and it could of become infected let alone the pain they would still be in. This was unusual as have always been great in the past and have always been really helpful

    My husband has cancer which has caused me emotional health issues and the Dr and the Nurse that I have had appointments with have been extremely kind and caring and professional. I am receiving so much help and support. Thankyou Longfield!

    Had tried for months to get an appointment online, logged in all hours of night and day - to no avail. Cannot get through on the telephone. Have osteoarthritis, menopausal post hysterectomy. Wanted to discuss being given an extra sachet of HRT gel 0.5 as on 1 mg only a day to try and help with my pain etc (struggling to work and function normally). Other health conditions prevent me from having tablets or patches. Was reluctantly given it and told due to my age (59), I must speak to the gp and make an appointment before the next repeat!! Well if I could get through I would!! Reception told me use Patches the new system, which did not work either. The dispensary are the only worthwhile part of this practice - always willing to help and go out of their way.

    Hi, I visited the surgery tonight for a Covid/Flu jab tonight for myself & my 96 year old mother. Unfortunately I got the day wrong, should have been tomorrow!! The staff at the surgery were so understanding, fitted my mother in then to my amazement offered me my jabs as well, they had two left. What absolutely outstanding service from the staff !! Cannot thank them enough. 100% Thank you

    After moving to Maldon some 18 months ago I was cautious about joining another practice as my previous Doctors although busy were very good. I must say so far I have been extremely impressed by the care and professionalism of this practice. Although you have to call at 8 to get an appointment you are able to request a call back which I have no problem with. The staff are both kind and courteous and it was lovely to be greeted with a smile when I had to go into the surgery for an appointment. Very happy with the service. Thank you.
