I recently registered as a patient at Lodge Road Surgery in Smethwick, and I must say, it has been a refreshing change. Unlike my previous GP practice, which utilised a centralised call center, where it was merely impossible to speak to a receptionist or get an appointment. Here at Lodge Road practise I had the pleasure of speaking directly with a medical receptionist at the surgery. The efficiency was evident from the outset; despite calling at 08:00, I found myself 9th in the queue, and the wait time was reasonable. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted and promptly booked in for my appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that the wait to see my GP, was under 10 minutes. My GP proved to be not only attentive but also pragmatic in our health discussions. She outlined clear plans for follow-ups based on my specific requirements. Overall, my experience at Lodge Road Surgery has been exceedingly positive, marked by efficient communication, minimal wait times, and attentive medical care.

Receptionist dont know what they are doing most of the time. Waited 40mins for my last appointment. Went again after 1 month was waiting for 20 mins when i asked they said i dont have an appointment which they was clearly lying because i had recorded the time and date. The Midwife dont make you feel comfortable at all. Especially when your pregnant. They dont explain to you about the baby's measurement and what they have checked. Its a shame because they get paid for what they do. If you dont like your job simply find another one.

Would definitely recommend lodge road surgery. From my personal experience excellent patient care delivered by my Gp, Diabetic Nurse, Nurses and overall an excellent patient experience delivered by the reception staff.

Call for appointment but always they said all fully book call on 8am but same answer always fully book all tomorrow 8am I call 4 5 time in week but no appointment no manners to talk very rout

Had an appointment for 1.20 still waiting at 2.05 nurse was in the room just on the computer, no patients waiting too long then decided to get a cup of tea not good enough

I was referred to the social prescriber by my gp after a very emotional trauma I went through nearly 2years ago at that moment I was very very low and felt no-one can help nothing helped me until the social prescriber rang me it was like I'm talking to to a friend rather than someone professional she understands me and I can talk to her about anything all the ups and downs I go through she motivates me in different ways and she really boosts my confidence I look forward for our next session I have so much to talk to her about and the best part is she never judges me and always finds ideas to help me unlike the counselling sessions I had before being referred to her those sessions really put me down it was like I'm on a timer and the counsellor I was talking to made me feel like I'm boring her that was a very horrible experience I would never want counselling in my life again that counsellor really put me down and it was a waste of time however I'm glad I was referred to the social prescriber she's kind and extremely helpful and is always there for me just like a friend I'm so grateful to her if it wasn't for her I don't think I will be where I am today she has really helped me so much and made a very big difference to my life 5stars are just not enough for the service the social prescriber give their patients thank you so much for all your hard work

My family have been with Lodge Road Surgery for over 40 years. I have always found this Surgery very friendly and very helpful. Over 12 months ago I had a routine appointment which ended up with me seeking an hospital appointment. The surgery made an urgent referral on my behalf. Thankfully, all was sorted to my huge relief and I was very grateful at the time, of the support I received from that member of staff. Thank you to all at the surgery for your continued friendly service.

I am absolutely delighted to share my experience with the social prescriber. Thankfully, I was referred to this professional who has made a tremendous difference. From the very beginning, the social prescriber was incredibly attentive and kind. They took the time to really listen to me, and showed a genuine interest in my well-being. I felt heard and understood, and their support and encouragement have been invaluable. Their empathy, kindness, and expertise are significantly above what I expected and I am forever grateful for their support. One thing I particularly appreciated was the way the social prescriber worked around my schedule to arrange our appointments. They were always incredibly flexible, and made sure to find times that were convenient for me. This made the entire process so much easier, and I am grateful for their willingness to accommodate my needs. But what really sets the social prescriber apart is their ability to provide practical advice and suggestions that have made a real difference. I am so grateful for their support. In summary, I cannot recommend the social prescribe enough. They are a wonderful listener, a supportive and empathetic guide, and a true expert in their field.
