In all of my time using G.P services, I’ve become conditioned to it being a little bit terrible. Long waits for appointments, front of house staff that make you question yourself if you are really so ill, and the dreaded 8am wait in a phone queue to be told that your optimism in hoping you’d be seen in the next three years was entirely unfounded. When my fiance and I moved houses and registered with Lockside, we expected much of the same. We were very very wrong. I was pregnant when we moved and have had to use the services of Lockside a number of times. When we first went into the surgery we anticipated the usual grumpy sullenness of the front of house staff, but were greeted with a welcome and genuine friendliness. The online triage form and the speed at which I have received a call back from a doctor is nothing short of a miracle. Every time have used it, I have received the treatment I have needed within hours. The clinical staff continue the trend of being friendly, knowledgable and making me question that all I ever knew about G.P surgeries was wrong. It turns out that a surgery can work well and you don’t, in fact, need to wait until September 2063 to be seen. If you need treatment, they will provide it. With kindness, compassion and at pace. Our son is born now and I feel very lucky that he is registered with Lockside. It sets my mind at ease knowing that when he has his first of many inevitable illnesses, he will be treated exceptionally. A C Q C rating of outstanding is insufficient. Honestly, everybody who works in that surgery sets it apart from every other healthcare provider I have ever encountered. And I’m a midwife, so I’ve seen a lot! Genuinely, thank you all for making it abundantly clear that our family is in the safest of hands.

Just wanted to give feedback to the wonderful reception/admin team. I have been a patient for about a year and every interaction I have had with them has been positive. I can only imagine the pressure these staff are under at times, however they have all been extremely polite and helpful with me. I hope their great work is recognised

I have move to Stalybridge from Oldham, since being at Lockside they have discovered I am loosing my hearing in my right ear, which was never resolved previously and read my notes and told me test results I did not know the outcome to previously so I had no idea why I was going through what I was. So so glad I come to Lockside practice, very understanding, accommodating, professional and leaves no stone unturned. Thank you

From appointment booking to leaving my appointment I was genuinely so impressed. I felt welcomed, listened to, and valued. I was nervous prior to my appointment as the topic of my appointment was something I was very aprehensive about. I saw 2 clinicians and came out feeling so reassured. They truly listened to me, ensured I understood everything that was discussed. They respected my decisions and were super helpful. I love this surgery- it is so reassuring to have a GP you feel can confidently help you! No problem is too big for the staff, they go above and beyond to help!

I have been with Lockside now for some years, and have been Happily looked after by the most caring, Thoughtful,Family Doctors. This practice truly cares about there patients and gives them 100% personal attention.From the top down, to the helpful people on the reception desk , nothing is to much trouble.100% customer satisfaction.

Lockside is the best GP practice I have known. My elderly mother is registered here and I have always had an excellent experience when needing to get her seen at the doctors. I contacted the practice on my mothers behalf a few months ago and arranged an appointment at a convenient time I could take for her joint pains. The receptionist booked an appointment with an advanced practitioner at another practice called Grosvenor surgery. I was confused initially as to why but saw an excellent specialist there who saw how much pain my mother was in and arranged X rays which showed she needed a new hip and got some pain relief arranged. The specialist we saw rang with the results a few days after the xray and sent her to a surgeon who we saw today and who has put her on the list for a new hip. Fabulous service all round. Thank you Lockside and to the lovely staff at Grosvenor doctors too.

Thank you for arranging an appointment to see my baby on the sane day with his skin rash. I was extremely concerned and although it will take time to heal the condition seeing me and my baby at the clinic has put my mind at ease Thank you again Lockside
