    I have been with Lister Medical Centre for over 10+ years since I moved to Harlow and the service has been better in the past, but since Covid-19 it has gone downhill, and I sometimes think ‘why do they bother to have a receptionist or a service’ and each time I go into the surgery the staff just don't have any time or empathy towards your situation. I have been in person to the reception numerous to get an appointment and was always pushed away and told to go online when the service online isn't good for individuals who work full time and you cannot get an appointment or when you do get one, the Doctor just ignore your medial request and text without calling or speaking to establish the reason and say ‘nothing to worry about’, whilst suffering from mental health and just don't care when you say I need to see someone as feeling low to get a response 'you need to go online and book an appointment. Very frustrated as GPs and Doctors should care more.

    Was advised by Reception had to book request for appointment when service opened today, Friday 8th December and was told no definite time to open but probably around 1.30. Started checking and refreshing website at 12.30 just in case opened early and carried on every few minutes until 4.30 pm and not available! What happened to urgent appointments for this afternoon, how did anyone book them? Checked again at 6pm and now says try Monday at 7.30am, so whole weekend of potential treatment lost. Had also called yesterday afternoon and after long wait in queue for phone, told to go to website and when I tried said not available all afternoon. Message says this is from improved service, but how can no longer being able to get an urgent appointment be an improvement?

    The practice has moved to an online booking system. I tried, repeatedly, over three consecutive days to access the online system but am prevented from doing so with a message stating "We have paused access to online requests as we have reached capacity. Please keep trying as we keep opening this access up when availability allows". If you visit the practice, in person, because you cannot access the online system you are advised, by reception, that they cannot make appointments and that you must leave and try the online portal again. There is no discretionary pathway for emergency appointments. The inability to access they system prevents patients obtaining triage assessment or signposting to an appropriate service. on a positive note they have initiated a call back service on the phone service to remove waiting on hold.

    Tried to book an appointment online but says it is 'suspended'. Called up to book an appointment, but the lines were full so it hung up on me. This happened twice. Managed to get into the queue and requested a call back. Only to be told that I had to do it online, I had to 'just keep checking'. I asked when will it be unsuspended and was told she doesn't know. I said I have a full time job and I can't 'just keep checking' and she told me there was nothing she can do. That is absurd! I just need a doctors appointment, and I'm fully anticipating the appointment not to be until Jan 2024 but I can't even book one!! Terrible service, backwards process and unhelpful receptionist

    It’s very painful, having to listen to the recorded message at the beginning when you phone the surgery because you cannot bypass this message if you’ve already listened to it three or four times when you’re directed eventually to the reception where you have to wait or be told that your head of year is full and then the line just cuts off There needs to be a way to bypass the recorded message at the beginning of the phone call because the gentleman speaking speaks for a very long time, and when you’ve heard that message more times than you care to remember it is very painful, trying to get hold of someone from the surgery via phone

    My wife has time and time havd a face to face ppointment changed to telephone appointment. We then sit by the phone at the allotted times to find that they allegedly telephoned and we did not answer. Then you are asked to wait for 4weeks fir another appointment. Seems to be dilierate delay tactics. About time doctors stopped working from home on the phone and returned to seeing people in the surgery.

    It's just beyond shocking, can never get a phone appointment. Reviews are pushed to be done on a phonecall and when you get a referral back to the GP for blood tests there's no appointments, Phone receptionists are extremely rude and uncaring in what they do. Emergency appointments not available so what are people who are registered to this GP Practice supposed to do? Go to the hospital for an appointment instead? The communication between them and Metwest pharmacy has always been bad to the point they have no acknowledgement of a prescription being received by the surgery. If you can't get through to them to book an appointment they stop your medication without any alternative or phonecall as to the possible reasons why. A £11 Million new facility and it's somewhat more badly run than before.

    Called at exactly 08:00hrs as a newly registered patient to arrange setting up repeat prescriptions as a diabetic patient. Waited 40mins for the phone to be answered. First available appointment to do repeats 9th Oct as a phone call, unable to tell me when they’d call, and told this is likely to be from a withheld number. Totally inappropriate for those who work to not be given a time. Surgery doesn’t open at weekends so can’t access appointments at an appropriate time. Can’t access the online systems, despite being told repeatedly by recorded messages on phone, the NHS App only allows me to book a flu vaccination. It’s about time practices stepped up and provided access to patients that meets the needs of the patient not the needs of the practice.

    Less than 7days from annual review to being referred to specialist for diagnosis and treatment. Incredible and the leasion was benign. Thank you all involved at Lister Medical Centre
