Review titled Efficient and friendly service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended my annual asthma review. It was very efficiently managed with reminder to book and multiple appointment slots available. The actually appointment was on time and a useful catchup. I did not feel rushed and had opportunity to ask questions.

Review titled Still waiting for e consult response
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Vikki Wood - Posted on 29 May 2025
I completed an e-consult over a week ago to request a referral letter from the doctor to get a blood test done privately at BUPA. The reply I got was a swift link to book a blood test which which is not what I wanted. I went to the surgery and spoke to the receptionist who reopened my e-consult and I’m still waiting for the referral letter. So frustrating!

Review titled Hard to navigate
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Jsmes - Posted on 28 May 2025
The problem I have is the e consult. I am 60 years old and not very it savvy. A very kind lady on the phone done it for me or I would have given up. Lady who done my health check up was very nice and professional. I don’t like not being able to request a certain doctor , one who knows me and my history as it feels very impersonal and too clinical when sitting with a stranger. The receptionist, was very helpful and an asset to the surgery.

Review titled Great Doctors but surgery is terrible to get to
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Elaine Hoy - Posted on 21 May 2025
Saw another doctor today helpful, knowledgable, decisive and very nice. But again today getting to the surgery was too difficult. There is no near access by car. The car park is often full and even with a disabled badge it is a nightmare

Review titled Disappointing and unhelpful appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 May 2025
I received a phone call today from a nurse practitioner dealing with my request for an appointment to discuss hayfever symptoms. The nurse was unhelpful, didn't answer any of my questions asked and gave me misinformation about medication. In response to all my questions she directed me to the NHS website- this was not helpful as I needed to speak with a doctor regarding medication.

Since moving to Lea wharf Medical centre, I have been very impressed how quickly it is to get doctors appointment at the surgery. I completed E-consult at 8am in morning and had appointment at 8:45am. The service with nurse practitioner was very nice and helpful.

Review titled Good Experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have recently had a specific medical problem that started in May. Because I was unwell I could not use e-consult and the receptionist was very kind and did it for me. The doctor rang me back and gave me antibiotics and a stool sample. This was completed and I then required another appointment. I was seen by a very competent registrar who ordered another stool sample and blood tests urgently. There was an issue at Hertford County where the waits were very long but I stuck it out. The results came back and I spoke to reception to ask a doctor to explain the results. I waited a week to speak to them and more stool samples and a blood test required. There is.a three week wait for the blood test but the results of the stool sample came back next day. The doctor rang that afternoon to discuss and recommend me for a colonoscopy and to be referred to a gastroenterologist. They advised me if the dates I should hear back from those departments but if I haven’t heard by next week, to call the surgery to chase. Excellent service and feel confident in my action plan.

I sent a NHS online request in first thing and by 12:00midday received a phone call offering an appointment that afternoon. The caller, practice manager and nurse that I saw were excellent and I received the support I needed immediately. Thank you.
